“The first firing [of rockets] in the Persian Gulf will hike up the oil price to more than $100. The 100-dollar oil will be unbearable for Europe, the U.S., and its partners such as Japan and South Korea,” Top Military Aide to the Iranian Leader, Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi, said in an interview with Fars New Agency.

The U.S. is just blustering around politically and military-wise, he said, noting that American troops have started retreating from the region since two weeks ago.

Safavi also maintained that all foreign vessels in the Persian Gulf are in the firing range of Iranian missiles.

“Americans know all too well that their military force is within the range of Iranian missiles. In the Persian Gulf, the whole American and foreign fleets are within the range of IRGC’s coast-to-sea missiles, which can reach to over 300km,” he said.

Safavi then voiced Iran’s readiness to sign a non-aggression pact with neighboring countries.

“We pursue a non-aggression strategy with our neighbors. Recently, Foreign Minister Zarif proposed to sign a non-aggression agreement with neighboring countries. My suggestion is to sign the pact with some countries and form a coalition with some others,” he added.

Safavi then voiced hope that regional countries would stop thinking of Iran as the enemy and instead focus their attentions on their real enemies, namely the U.S. and the Israeli regime.

Safavi reiterated his country’s interest in endorsement of non-aggression pacts with the regional states, and stressed that the American forces will leave the region.

He expressed the hope that the regional states would understand that the Americans and Zionists and not Iran is their enemy.

General Rahim Safavi reminded the Arab regional states of the U.S. betrayal of its servants and puppet regimes, including the Shah of Iran, Zine el-Abidine Ben Ali in Tunisia, Hosni Mubarak in Egypt and Muammar Qaddafi in Libya, and said, “As the Supreme Leader has said, the Americans should leave West Asia region and they will certainly leave.”

He added that if the Arab regional states think wisely, they will not tolerate the hegemony of Washington which calls them as milk cows.
