Lorestan District on Way to Post-Flood Reconstruction
TEHRAN – The operation for fixing and replacing 350 meters of 10-inch Bidrouyeh-Tang Fani pipeline on the Simreh River bed which had been broken during recent floods in Lorestan Province finally wound up.

According to the public relations of Iranian Oil Pipeline and Telecommunication Company (IOPTC) of Lorestan District, after round-the-clock efforts of the personnel of the company, the pipeline was repaired and joined the network.

Head of Maintenance Department of the Company said that during recent floods, the link between pipeline and Imamzadeh Shah Ahmad public road had also suffered damages. He added the dispatched teams after days of hard-working finally repaired the pipeline and the road.

He went on to say that social activities and services to flood-hit people in the region resumed concurrent with executing the technical operation.

He added that ultimately, the operation for repairing and replacing the 10-inch Bidrouyeh-Tang Fani ended on May 8 and the pipeline joined to the network.

He reiterated that boosting the safety of the pipeline by using CCW method for 200 meters in the bed of the river is of the major activities of the operation which will be carried out in near feature.
