Fatimah Should Be Defined as Fatimah

Nowadays we are in Fatimiyya (days when Muslims mourn owing to Hazrat Fatimah al-Zahra’s martyrdom). Hazrat-e Fatimah is the daughter of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and there is difference of view regarding the date of her martyrdom. Talking about her and her life is not a simple thing.

When we take a look at the life and journey of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and how he talks with his daughter and how he talks about her dignity and how he recommends emphatically that Fatimah is part of his soul, I think God has created her for a big test.

So Almighty Allah tells Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), “Were it not for you, I would not have created the universe.” God says, “All the creation and the universe has been a prelude for you.” God also reiterates, “But O Prophet behold! Were not Ali, I would not have created you.” But the strangest, most wonderful inapprehensible thing is that Almighty says,” Were not Fatimah (A), I would not have created both of you Prophet Muhammad and (Imam) Ali (A).”

According to the valid and reliable texts and narrations it has been said, “This honorable Hadith Qudsi has been once and again heard that Almighty God has addressed Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). If it has not been mentioned in the reliable Hadith Qudsi (are the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as revealed to him by the Almighty Allah), one could question why God has not appointed Fatimah as the messenger. This hadith is very strange and even most of intellectuals are feeble to understand the truth behind it and what it wants to tell. Of course it needs a very deep understanding   to understand when God says, “ O Ali. You were with all messengers and secret of their links with God. All messengers could communicate with God via you and they got truths and instructions and then they did their jobs as messengers for transfer of messages to others.”  So Imam Ali was hidden in behavior and manners of prophets. Moses, Jesus Christ, Abraham, Noah, Adam and all Devine messengers were connected to him innately and whatever God gave them was inspired from him. And you (Imam) Ali became obedient to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) either in the creation or eternity. If there were not this flagrant flower,  if there were not that sweet fruit, never did this gardener dig the ground, never did he prune this sapling, never did he water this rivulet, never did he fertilize, never did he use pesticides, never did he cut the weeds from this tree of creation. All of these activities are because of existence of that fragrant flower and that sweet fruit of the tree.

Tree of creation is like it. This tree of creation also has cream of the crop and it is the sacred name of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The fragrant flower of this tree and sweet fruit of the tree is Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). So if there were not such a flower, Almighty God from the beginning did not prune this tree. Now it should be defined that Fatimah is human being who is mother of her father. She is a human being who is mother of her husband. So one cannot call her simply a human being but Fatimah should be defined as Fatimah and it has her own definition.
