 An Iranian studies center opened at Burhanuddin Rabbani University in Kabul, Afghanistan on Wednesday.

The dean of the university, Zabihollah Asadi, Iranian cultural attaché Reza Maleki, and a number of Afghan scholars and students attended the inauguration ceremony of the center.

Speaking at the ceremony, Maleki said that cultural affinities and good relationship between the two countries have helped them cooperate on various fields. He also announced Iran’s readiness to expand relations with Afghan academic centers.

Asadi also expressed his hope that the center could help Afghan professors and students develop their knowledge by organizing workshops and training courses.
