The Duchess of Sussex and Cambridge engaged in a “ghastly row” last Christmas after Kate angered Meghan by attempting to explain Royal etiquette, according to new reports, amidst claims Prince William offended Prince Harry by raising doubts about his bride to be.

It comes amidst growing reports of a rift between the two Royal couples. The Sussexes have announced plans to leave Kensington Palace for a cottage in the grounds of Windsor Castle. It had been believed they would join the Cambridges in the Palace by taking over a lavish apartment.

A source told the Daily Mail on Sunday a “ghastly row” developed between the two couples last Christmas after Kate attempted to explain Royal rules and etiquette to Meghan.

Meanwhile, a friend told the paper that Prince William separately offended Prince Harry by raising doubts about Meghan, and in particular the speed with which their relationship was progressing.

They explained, “The problem is that the Cambridges felt things had moved very quickly between Harry and Meghan.

However, Harry was reportedly hurt by his brother’s comments and defended his fiancé.

Prince Harry confirmed he was dating Meghan Markle in November 2016, and a year later the couple announced their engagement.

They were married in Windsor on May 19 of this year.

Kate has apparently been saddened by the deteriorating relationship, and feels that Prince Harry has been “changing”.

An associate said, “Meghan’s a strong character and so is Kate, so it doesn’t surprise me there have been clashes.”

It comes after claims the couple fell out prior to the wedding after Meghan “b**ed Kate’s staff”.

Kate is said to have replied, “That’s unacceptable, they’re my staff and I speak to them.”

The Cambridges, including Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, are said to be spending Christmas with Kate’s family at Bucklebury this year.

Meanwhile, the Sussexes will reportedly spend the day at Sandringham with the Queen.

It had been assumed the Sussexes would take a Kensington Palace apartment before the arrival of their first child next year, making them neighbors of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

However, the couple have instead decided to move to Frogmore cottage on the Queen’s Windsor estate, some distance from the Cambridges.

Frogmore cottage is currently undergoing a renovation ahead of their arrival next year.
