TEHRAN – White House Deputy Press Secretary Hogan Gidley said on Tuesday that the U.S. government have “ramped up sanctions on Iran, and we’ve bolstered some of our partnerships to try and put more pressure on Iran.”

At a press conference, Gidley said pressure on Iran will continue, but as U.S. President Donald Trump said before, “he want to meet, he wants to come to a solution,” the White House website reported.

He also said the U.S. president had joined with “some of our partners and allies for a targeted strike against Syria, which is one of Iran’s allies as well.”
