Deputy Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (ICT) Rasoul Saraeian reported a significant increase in Persian content production in cyberspace.

“The share of Persian-language content in cyberspace has increased from 1.9 percent in 2016 to 1.9 percent this year, thus propelling Iran ahead of China and Turkey,” the deputy ICT minister said Saturday.

He then noted the implementation of a plan to increase Persian-language content as much as tenfold according to the objectives of resistance economy.

All executive organizations and departments have been tasked with highlighting electronic content, he said, adding, “in this line, all executive organizations are duty-bound to mechanize their presentable content electronically.”

Iranian Information Technology Organization (IITC) plays a leading and significant role in the provision of infrastructures, he said.

Studies show that the rate of Persian web pages has registered a considerable growth in the past years, accounting for 0.9 percent share of total content in cyberspace, he added.
