 Some 23 motorcyclists who left Paris for Isfahan 19 days ago as part of tourist tour arrived in Iran on July 31st through the northwestern borders.

According to the ‘Tourism and Automobile Club of the Islamic Republic of Iran,’ the group of motorcyclists crossed 14 European countries and entered Iran from Turkey through Bazargan border crossing.

They have so far crossed Iranian cities of Tabriz, Ardebil, Khalkhal, Asalem, Rasht, Lahijan, Rudsar, Ramsar, Tonekabon, Chalus and Karaj before arriving in the capital Tehran.

Bijan Khorasani, the Iranian tour guide and the sports expert who is accompaniying the group, said that the motorcyclists have expressed their appreciation to the people of the cities they have visited so far for their hospitality.

Khorasani also noted that Iranian security forces and the police have cooperated well with the group during the tour, adding “we have not faced any problems or barriers and everyone has cooperated with the motorcyclists and tour operators perfectly.”

The tour will leave Tehran for Isfahan after crossing the holy city of Qom and will wrap up their trip in Isfahan’s Naqsh-e Jahan Square.
