‘Kupal’ is the unusual story of a hunter and a taxidermist, named Dr. Ahmad Kupal, who, on the last day of the year, faces an unexpected challenge by trapping himself in his basement with little food and no water, having to survive by using creative and desperate means. The storyline of ‘Kupal’ and the tagline is, ‘you can’t be alone in this world!’

The Middlebury New Filmmakers Festival is all about showcasing the outstanding work of first and second time filmmakers. It’s our sole focus and it’s what we do really well. The event takes place in scenic Middlebury, Vermont in late August each year. Our 4th Annual festival will roll out August 23-26, 2018.
