Khodadad Azizi Quits Iran’s Sepidrood Rasht

Khodadad Azizi stepped down as head coach of Sepidrood Rasht football team.

The 47-year-old coach, who had replaced Ali Karimi in the Rasht based football team, resigned from his post just after 40 days in charge.

Under Azizi’s guidance, Sepidrood suffered two successive defeats against Saipa and Sepahan and drew with Gostaresh Foolad.

Sepidrood has yet to announce Azizi’s replacement.

Azizi started his coaching career in Aboomoslem in 2006.

He has also coached Payam Khorasan, Esteghlal Ahvaz, Shahrdari Tabriz and Siahjamegan.

Mohammad Reza Mahdavi and Mohammad Reza Mirhosseini have been named as Azizi’s assistants.
