According to the latest report published by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), the weight of nonoil products exported to a group of European countries have increased 91% in the past four months compared to the same period last year.
The report says that Iran’s nonoil exports to 10 EU members including Lithuania, Czech Republic, Denmark, Sweden, France, Britain, Italy, Portugal, Spain and Germany have increased by 91.404 percent in terms of weight and by 11.787 percent in value in the first four months of the current Iranian fiscal year (March 21 – July 22), compared to the same period last year.
Iran has exported 37,401 tons of nonoil products in total, valued at some $450 million, during the aforementioned period, which shows a 14.69 percent increase in terms of value and 0.76 percent decrease in terms of weight compared to the same period last year.
Italy imported over 324 tons of Iranian nonoil products in this period, with a value of $162.14 million, and topped the ranking of Iran’s export to EU in terms of weight.
The most significant nonoil export growth in the mentioned period is the export rate to UK. Iran managed to export 18 tons of products valued at $15 million, which shows a 432 percent increase in terms of weight and 174 percent increase in terms of value compared to the same period last year.
This is while nonoil exports to Spain have dropped by 58.91 percent in terms of weight and 2.61 percent in terms of value in the period. Spain has imported 17,378 tons of Iranian products valued at $41.5 million.
