The president of the Swiss-Iranian Chamber of Commerce and Industry has announced Bern’s support for helping Iran’s financial transactions despite risk of US sanctions.

According to Deutche Welle Radio, Simon Tiberius Fundel, said that Switzerland will take measures to facilitate Iran’s economic activities when the United States sanctions come into effect.

Tiberius Fundel, who made the remarks while his country is hosting an Iranian delegation headed by President Rouhani in his country, also said “maybe it is important for the European companies to know that Switzerland is ready facilitate the German, French and Italian companies’ transactions with Iran.”

He noted that the US President Donald Trump has set two dates for reinstating the sanctions on Iran that are August the 6th and November the 4th, saying that sanctions on financial transactions will be on the latter date.

The Swiss official also pointed to the economic cooperation between Iran and Switzerland, saying that a major part of Switzerland’s commitment to building a railroad will be supplied to Iran soon.
