Customs talks took place between Iran and South Korea in Belgian capital Brussels for facilitating bilateral trade and business activities.
During the meeting, customs officials of Iran and South Korea exchanged their views with regard to matters of mutual concerns and the removal of obstacles facing bilateral customs.
In the same direction, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) Foroud Askari met and held talks with the general manager of South Korea’s Customs on the sidelines of Annual World Customs Organization (WCO) meeting, which is underway in Belgian capital Brussels.
The two sides placed special emphasis on exchanging customs information and removing barriers within the framework of agreements inked between Iran and South Korea in relevant fields.
The two sides also exchanged their views on ways of receiving certificate of origin in customs offices of the two countries and welcomed proposals to get easier access to the relevant customs information.
Earlier, IRICA president held separate meetings with the Chinese customs minister and directors of Japanese, Malaysian and Australian customs offices on the sidelines of Annual WCO’s meeting.
The decisive and crucial vote of members of World Customs Organization (WCO) to IRICA’s membership in the policymaking commission of the Organization after 14 years was one of the most important and salient achievements of the meeting.
