Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Seyed Abbas Salehi pointed to the organizing various Quranic competitions in the international arena and said, “Islamic Republic of Iran must be turned into a Quranic hub in the world due to its high capabilities and distinguished reciters.”
Speaking on Sunday at 47th session of Commission for Quranic Promotional Activities, held at the venue of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, he reiterated, “organizing international competition is a turning point of activities in the Quranic field in the Islamic world.”
Islamic Republic of Iran will be converted into the Quranic hub in the world through taking advantage of available capacities, promoting positive points and strengthening weaknesses, Salehi emphasized.
Member of Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution pointed to the organizing various Quranic competitions in the international level and said, “it is necessary to strengthen weaknesses and promote strengths using annual reports.”
Salehi evaluated presentation of annual reports on the Quranic activities especially International Quranic Competitions as ‘important and constructive’ and added, “these reports should be provided both in national and international spheres in order to pave suitable ways for progress of relevant activities.”
Fortunately, Islamic Republic of Iran has achieved salient progresses in the field of Quranic activities in national and international arenas, he said, adding, “in this regard, Iranian reciters and memorizers have won acceptable ranks in the international arena as well.”
The 47th session of Commission for Quranic Promotional Activities was held on Sunday in the presence of minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, members of the Commission and representatives of other organizations pertinent to the Quranic activities.
