Ambassador of Iran to Pakistan Mehdi Honardoost while congratulating Pakistan Tekreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Chairman Imran Khan over his party’s victory in general elections of the country has said that Iran desires strong multi-dimensional ties with Pakistan.The ambassador in his message on Monday said that people of Pakistan by exercising their right to vote in a large number have strengthened democratic process in the country.

Mehdi Honardoost added that Iran is willing to boost its cooperation with Pakistan in all fields.

He prayed for the success of Imran Khan and his party Pakistan Tekreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in providing the people of Pakistan a stable, democratic, and prosperous future.

Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) has emerged as largest political party in Pakistan’s general elections by securing 115 seats against former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and former President Asif Zardari’s Pakistan Peoples Party which won 64 and 43 seats, respectively. The PTI is likely to form next government in the country with Imran Khan as Prime Minister.

Pakistan held general elections on July 25 to elect the members of the National Assembly, the lower house of the country’s parliament, and members of four provincial assemblies.

Earlier Imran Khan in his first public address said that his party desires stronger ties with Iran.
