Gaining two gold, two silver and two bronze medals and 130 points, Iran’s Greco-Roman team claimed the title of 2018 Cadet World Championships.

At 92 kg, Iran’s Mohammad Nosrati was 3-0 behind the Russian Aleksei Mileshin in the first period, however had a dramatic comeback in the final 20 seconds of the match when he scored a gut wrench and defeated the Russian rival.

Shahin Badaghi Mofrad, at 60 kg, lost the final to Serhat kirik from Turkey and received the silver medal.

In the first day of the competitions, Amirhossein Khounsari at 55 kg snatched the first gold medal for Iran.

Also Sajjad Javid Abbaspour at 48 kg gained silver medal while Hossein Ghasemi and Mohammad Aziz Naghousi were the bronze-winners of Iran.

Russia and Turkey stood next with 108 and 91 points respectively.

2018 Cadet World Championships kicked off on July 2 and wrapped up on July 8 in Zagreb, Craotia.

Iran awarded the top team prize in both freestyle and Greco-Roman disciplines.
