Mahmoud Vaezi, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani’s chief of staff, hailed on Saturday the fraternal relations between Tehran and Baku, saying “the two countries are after expansion of ties in all fields.”

During a meeting with Azerbaijan’s Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies Ramin Guluzade, Vaezi said that the two countries have great potential for deepening bilateral relations, adding “further activation of Iran and Azerbaijan joint economic commission will favor the two nations.”

He stressed the development of economic cooperation between Tehran and Baku, especially in the field of communication and new technologies, saying “Iran, thanks to its appropriate fields of software and hardware, is ready to transfer experiences to Azerbaijan in the field of communications technology.”

Ramin Guluzade, for his part, expressed satisfaction with the development of Tehran-Baku cooperation, saying Azerbaijan seeks to strengthen its cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran in various fields, including transportation, e-commerce, and customs.
