The Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Austria signed 4 cooperation documents in the presence of Iranian President Rouhani and Austrian Chancellor Kurz.

In the ceremony that was held on Wednesday, during President Hassan Rouhani’s official visit to Austria, four documents were signed by senior officials of the two countries in the fields of transportation, water resources management, renewable energies and cooperation in mines.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani is visiting the Austrian capital city of Vienna, the second stop of his European tour, where he met with Iranian expatrits residing in Austria, Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen, and Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz.

In his visit to Switzerland and Austria, Presdient Rouhani was accompanied by Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, Health Minister Hassan Ghazizadeh Hashemi, Vice-President for Science and Technology Sorena Sattari, Advisor Hesamoddin Ashena and Chief of Presidential Staff Mahmoud Vaezi.

The two-stop European tour of President Rouhani kicked off on Monday when he arrived in Zurich of Switzerland and was warmly received by Swiss President Alain Berset at airport.
