The 24th edition of Iran International Electronic, Computer and E-Commerce Exhibition, known as ELECOMP, has kicked off in Tehran International Permanent Fairground, with companies from over 20 countries in attendance.

The opening ceremony is currently underway in the presence of Iranian ICT Minister Mohammad Javad Azari and other officials active in the field of IT and telecommunications.

This year’s edition of ELECOPM, as the country’s biggest trade event showcasing products and services in the fields of electronics and computers, will take place from July 28 to 31, with participation of foreign companies from over 20 countries, more than 400 startups, 24 governmental bodies, and over 30 Iranian game developers showcasing their products at ELECOM Games, which is being held for the very first time in the event’s history.

The event also includes ELECOM Trends and ELECOM Talks. According to Mehdi Heidari, executive manager of this year’s event, ELECOM Talks is a program which invites university professors, elites, officials and other specialists to express their views on issues such as the future of information technology and challenges of this domain and many other topics.

ELECOM Trends, which was limitedly held in the previous edition of ELECOMP, will be expanded in this year and achievements related to fields of artificial intelligence, big data, parallel processing and smart city will be presented, Heidari added.
