The interim leader of Tehran Friday prayers, Ayatollah Mohammad Emami Kashani, said that Iran is in an economic war and the country should be harsh with the enemies in this war.

“I extend my gratitude to General Soleimani for the warm letter he cabled to Mr. president; this letter was very effective in establishing national solidarity,” the interim leader of Tehran Friday prayers, Ayatollah Mohammad Emami Kashani, said in this week’s edition of the weekly ritual.

He said that “the letter would make the enemies scared as they would see how united and unified all people and organization of our country are.”

The cleric then referred to what Iranian Leader had said in a recent visit to Imam Hossein University and hailed the words as an echo of the lessons from the sixth Imam of Muslims, “the Leader of the Revolution recently said at Imam Hussein University (AS) that we must get closer to the people against the enemy. This is what the sixth Imam has advised to prevent the enemies from infiltration.”

He further hailed the words of the sixth Imam for unifying all walks of Muslims and added, “curse be upon those including the English Shia who are after wedging rifts between Shias and Sunnis with their TV programs. Creating discord and disintegration in the Islamic world is what the Zionists are after.”

“Zionists create disagreements, anarchy and chaos among Muslims and, on the other hand, display these scenes through their media in order to say that the truth of Islam is like this,” asserted the cleric.

He added that the judiciary, the parliament and the government should have aggressive plans. “We are now in a state of war; not military warfare, but economic warfare. The enemy has attacked us and we have to invade. The country needs an aggressive program.”

Ayatollah Emami Kashani then criticized the high level of liquidity in the hands of people and said, “this liquidity should be directed towards production. This wealth must be put into production. It is the duty of the state and the legislator to ensure that the wealth of the country is not abandoned for nothing.”

The interim leader of Tehran Friday prayers enlisted the establishment of security, justice and abundance of blessings as the government’s duties, and said “we must have plans and pick strong and persistent people. The enemy is an actively planning against us in every direction.”
