TEHRAN – Ehsan Hadadi of Iran claimed a bronze medal in the 2018 IAAF Diamond League in Rome, Italy on Thursday.

Jamaican thrower Fedrick Dacres completed a good natured, mini-lap of honor of his opponents – bumping a fist here, patting a shoulder there, after winning a stacked men’s discus with 68.51m.

The 24-year-old, who leads this year’s world lists with 69.83 produced his decisive effort in the second round to overtake the opening lead of 68.17 established by Lithuania’s world champion Andrius Gudzius, who remained second.

Iran’s Ehsan Hadadi took the bronze with a throw of 65.93m at Rome’s Olympic Stadium.

Hadadi is currently training under guidance of Mac Wilkins in Unites States of America.

He competed and won a silver medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics with a 68.18 m throw.

The 2018 IAAF Diamond League is the ninth edition of the annual IAAF Diamond League, a fourteen-leg series of track and field meetings.
