German Minister of State at the Federal Foreign Office Niels Annen met with the head of the Iranian atomic agency in Norway and reiterated his country and EU’s support for the JCPOA.

The meeting between the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Ali Akbar Salehi and the German Minister of State at the Federal Foreign Office Niels Annen took place on the sidelines of the Oslo Forum 2018 which is underway in Losby Manor located outside the Norwegian capital Oslo on June 19-20.

In the meeting the two sides exchanged their views on the future of Iran nuclear deal known as the JCPOA and the unlawful US withdrawal from it.

Annen stressed the European Union’s attempt to continue its cooperation with Iran, while reiterating his country and the European Union’s support for the nuclear pact with Iran.

Meanwhile, the German minister stressed that effective measures and cooperation of private companies can help in preserving the JCPOA.
