A 5.2 magnitude earthquake struck the Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province in southwest Iran injuring dozens.
The epicenter of the powerful earthquake was Sisakht which is a city and capital of Dana County in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province.
According to the head of Iran’s Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Pir Hossein Kolivand, the earthquake struck at 8:38’ local time on Wednesday morning and so far has injured at least 43 people.
Meanwhile, rescuers and emergency teams have been dispatched to the quake-hit area, while it has been reported that many buildings are damaged in the provincial capital Yasuj 35 km away from Sisakht.
