TEHRAN – Gas processing facilities of Hengam gas field (in the Persian Gulf) is going to be officially inaugurated in near future, Shana reported on Monday quoting an official with the Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC).
According to IOOC’s Managing Director Hamid Bovard, all the field’s process, infrastructure and utility unites, including demineralization, sweetening, pipelines, tanks, boilers, compressors, etc. have been installed successfully during the last 70 days.
“The facility has been developed with 70 million cubic meters of daily gas processing capacity,” the official said.
Once operational, the field’s flare stack in Qeshm Island will snuff out, to help preserve the environment.
Moreover, the gas needed by the island’s power plant and industries will be supplied from the field and the excess will be transferred to Bandar Abbas for consumption.
