The gas extraction from the South Pars gas field reached 183 billion cubic meters in the last Iranian year (ended March 20, 2021), showing a 99 percent growth compared to around 92 billion cubic meters in 2013.
Over 1,800 billion cubic meters (bcm) of natural gas has been produced from the giant South Pars field in southern Iran since the beginning of the field’s development up to March 20, according to Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC) which is in charge of developing the huge gas field.
