TEHRAN — “Subdued” by Hamid Nematollah from Iran has been named best narrative at the First Jounieh International Film Festival in Lebanon, the organizers have announced.

The film had competed with five other movies at the event running in the Lebanese coastal city from January 17 to 22.

“Dry Hot Summers” by Sherif El Bendary from Egypt received the Public Award and “Un Paese Di Calabria” by Shu Aiello and Catherine Catella won the award for best documentary. The film is a co-production of France, Switzerland and Italy.
