TEHRAN – A former Iranian diplomat has lauded “the diplomacy of resistance” of the Quds Force Commander Major General Qassem Soleimani, saying, “If we retreated one step in Iraq and Syria, we would have lost.”

Speaking at a conference on “Basij and Tomorrow’s Iran” in Tehran, Sadeq Kharrazi said the Islamic Republic’s regional policies succeeded “despite what the colonists had imagined.”

On November 21, General Soleimani declared the end of Daesh in a message addressed to Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Ever since, many Iranian officials have lauded Soleimani’s role in the fight against Daesh (ISIS).
