TEHRAN – Two Iranian films were honored at the Cardiff International Film Festival, which was held in the Welsh capital from October 27 to 29.

“Weavers of Imagination” by Mohammad-Sadeq Jafari won the best foreign-language documentary award, while “Light Sight” by Seyyed Moslem Tabatabai received the best animation award.

“Weavers of Imagination” tells the story of several blind carpet weavers who spend happy times when they get together.

“Light Sight” is about a creature named M.E. who is fascinated by a white light outside its room. It tries to reach the light but there are obstacles in the way.

“Wild Goose Lodge” by William Martin from Ireland was selected as best film at the festival and “An Italian Midsummer Adventure” by Christian Canderan from Italy won the award for best foreign-language feature.
