TEHRAN– Austrian Secretary-General for Foreign Affairs, Michael Linhart, said huge capacities existed for deepening relations with Iran in various sectors.

In a message on his official Twitter page, the Austrian official pointed to his meeting with Governor-General of Isfahan, Rasoul Zargarpour, and wrote “great potential exists for deepening cooperation in business & investment, tourism and culture.”

Linhart said he had invited Iran’s President Rouhani to make a visit to Austria and the visit would take place in the near future.

Referring to growing cooperation between the two sides, especially in economic arenas following JCPOA implementation, secretary-general for foreign affairs of Austria voiced optimism that Iranian trade delegations will also accompany President Rouhani in his upcoming visit to Austria.

While in Isfahan, Michael Linhart also discussing situation of religious minorities in Iran with Bishop Sipanjan of Orthodox Armenian Church.

At an earlier meeting with Iran’s FM Zarif in Tehran, the visiting official had called for continued and full implementation of Vienna Nuclear Agreement by all sides.

The high-ranking Austrian official also held meetings with the Chairman of Parliament National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, Alaeddin Boroujerdi, as well as with Deputy Foreign Minister for Europe and American Affairs, Majid Takht-Ravanchi.
