Rio gold medalists Sareh Javanmardi claimed the gold medal at the World Shooting Para Sport World Cup on Tuesday.

The Iranian para shooter finished in first place in the P4 50m Pistol Mixed SH1 with 228.2 points.

Serbian Zivko Papaz won the silver medal, scoring 219.7 and the bronze medal went to her compatriot Rastko Jokic with 199.7.

Javanmardi had already won a silver medal in the P2 10m Air Pistol Women SH1 after accumulating 236.5 points in the event.

The 32-year-old became Iran’s first female Paralympic champion in shooting Para sport when she bagged two gold medals in the P2 (women’s 10m air pistol SH1) and P4 (mixed 50m pistol SH1) in Rio.

Mehdi Zamani had snatched a gold medal in the P1 10m Air Pistol Men SH1 on Monday.

More than 100 athletes from around 20 countries competed at the World Shooting Para Sport World Cup in Osijek, Croatia.
