A rail tour from Tehran to Pol-Sefid in Savadkouh County, Mazandaran Province, is organized on Oct. 26.
Parsyad Touring Company and Raja Rail Transportation Company have organized the tour. A railbus will set off at 6:30 a.m., leaving Tehran rail station at Rah-Ahan Square for the northeastern destination.
The railbus passes through the green plains of Varamin and after a glimpse of dry deserts in Garmsar turns north and meanders through the mountains of Mazandaran where the historical rail spiral of ‘Gold Line’ in Savadkouh starts.
Until the tour comes to its northern end and returns, the tour leaders have much to talk about the history and technical details of the railroad. The tour will return to Tehran at about 9:40 p.m.
