In a meeting with the special envoy of Japan’s Prime minister, President Rouhani said US humiliation and threat policies of the US towards other countries will never be effective
During this meeting Rouhani stated “developing southern ports can significantly advance Iran-Japan relations and Japanese investors and businessmen can invest on developing ports and extending rail roads.”
The president also added that facilitations of banking transactions between Iran and Japan can lead to improvements in economic and commercial partnerships between Tehran and Tokyo.
In addition, Rouhani talked about Iran’s compliance with JCPOA agreements and said “the US government has not been fully committed to their vows.” With regard to the US effort to disrupt international cooperation he emphasized that Iran will never be the first to step away from the agreement, but will respond to the other party’s lack of commitment.
The president suggested that the stability and security of the region and Eastern Asia is of grave importance and hoped that increasing collaborations between Iran and Japan can help improve stability and security in Eastern and Western Asia.
Calling for negotiations and ending Arms race, Rouhani Pointed out “we oppose sanctions and believe that the humiliation and threat policies of the US towards other countries will never be effective” and further stressed that Iran strives to improve stability and security in the region.
Masahiko Komura, Japan’s special envoy delivered the written message on behalf of Japan’s Prime Minister in which President Rouhani has been congratulated on his second administration. It is emphasized in the letter that the two countries should develop further economic and commercial partnerships.
Komura described Iran’s adherence to the JCPOA as reassuring and said “Iran has always played a constructive role in maintaining peace and security in the region and we believe that all negotiating countries must remain true to the JCPOA agreement.”
