President Rouhani said Yemen needs unity to solve its issues, while condemning bombing of its infrastructures and provoking isolation between Yemeni tribal groups.

Felicitating Eid Al-Ghadir during the cabinet meeting on Wednesday, Rouhani described Ghadir Khumm as a great religious festival, reiterating that Shias and Sunnis agree together on the principle of the event of Ghadir Khumm, and unity is the urgent and serious need of the Islamic world.

“The Great Prophet’s remarks in the Farewell Pilgrimage and the event of Al-Ghadir are the turning point in the history of the Islamic World and a source of pride for the Shia,” he noted.

President Rouhani said the recent victories in Islamic world promise uprooting of terrorism and regional development.

He reiterated that “all Muslims are unanimous about the greatness of Imam Ali (AS) and his place before the Prophet of Islam (SA)”.

The president added that where shias and Sunnis stand beside each other on the Palestinian issue, a victory against the Zionist regime occurs, and when Lebanon’s Resistance stood alongside Hamas, both Gaza and Lebanon’s Resistance achieved viictory.

Emphasizing that stability and security in the region and the Muslim world require unity, Rouhani asked “why southern neighboring countries should constantly buy military weapons from the West and launch armaments in the region, while these weapons are definitely the ones to fight the enemy, which is the Zionist regime?”

President stressed that the threat should be eliminated in today’s world; “North Korea has chosen the current course for its existence against the threats; Washington is constantly threatening North Korea, and it is testing new new bombs in response.”

Rouhani emphasized that there is no difference between the people of Myanmar and other Muslims in the world; “Iran, as a Muslim and revolutionary country, feels responsibility towards the oppressed popel in the world, even if they are not Muslims, and we invite the Government of Myanmar to stand against the brutal crimes against the Muslims and we ask the neighboring and Muslim countries to help the displaced people in Myanmar.”

Rouhani also urged the United Nations to carry out its duty and responsibility in this regard and to offer its political and humanitarian aids to the people of Myanmar.

He underlined that the Islamic Republic of Iran and in particular the Red Crescent are ready to provide the necessary assistance to settle the injured people.
