TEHRAN – Iranian karate practitioners will leaver Tehran for Leipzig to compete at the sixth stage of Karate 1 Premier League.

The three-day event will attract as many as 1350 karate practitioners from 87 countries to the German city of Leipzig from September 08-10.

The Persian squad to attend the upcoming round of Karate 1 Premier League comprises 13 athletes five of whom are members of the national Iranian outfit.

Accordingly, Sahar Shiravani, Pegah Zanganeh, Negin Bagheri, Milad Delikhun, Sahand Eslami, Farzad Mohammadkhanlu, Ahad Shahin, Abolfazl Shahroudi, Armin Roshani, Ali Zand, Saeid Ahmadi, Amir Mahdizadeh, Ali Asghar Asiabari, Mahdi Khodabakhsh as well as Zabihollah Pourshib will represent Iran in the sportive tournament.

The Karate 1 Premier League is the most important league event in the world of Karate. It comprises of a number of the most prominent Karate competitions and endeavors to bring together the best Karate athletes in the world in an open championship of unprecedented scale and quality.

Initiated in 2011 with two tournaments held in Paris and Istanbul, the Karate1 Premier League has made exponential progress in terms of magnitude and status of the tournaments as well as the number of participants and countries represented.
