TEHRAN – Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran (IDRO) and Russian Trade and Economic Development Council signed an agreement on expanding cooperation in oil, gas, rail and air industries yesterday.
According to reports, Iran’s IDRO Group Managing Director Mansour Moazzami signed the deal with his Russian counterpart.
After the signing the agreement, Moazzami said that after the JCPOA, Iran and Russia have had good opportunities for expanding cooperation.
He added that the IDRO can be a gate for the entry of Russian companies to Iran, adding that Iran’s policy has been to boost cooperation with neighboring states. He reiterated that Iran and Russia’s relation is long term and strategic and IDRO is to facilitate the ground for cooperation.
He said that he is happy that IDRO has provided ground for such a huge amount of international relations.
Moazzami noted that recently the Russian government has taken suitable measures for providing financial facilities and financing for Iran, adding that both Iranian and Russian companies can take advantage of it to expand mutual cooperation.
He said the presence of Russian companies depends on joint investment programs.
Russian Trade and Economic Development Council is one of the biggest economic bodies in Russia with more than 10,000 major companies as its members.
