Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei said Iran’s resistance against the US has proved that nations are able to defeat superpowers if they rely on their own strength and stand unperturbed against the wrath and hostility of bullies.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Ayatollah Khamenei, made the remarks in his speech at the graduation ceremony of army cadets at the Imam Khomeini Naval Academy on Sunday in Nowshahr.
“The Arrogance, led by the cruel and oppressive US, sees its interests in creating civil wars, escalating terrorist activities and aggravating regional conflicts, and regrettably, some countries in the region help them with this agenda,” said the Leader.
He added that Iran’s resistance against Arrogance and injustice is the main reason for the hostility of global oppressors toward the Iranian nation.
The Leader maintained that the objective of US and Israeli regime is to prevent the formation of an Islamic power in the Middle East; “they know that the appealing message of Islam is to defend the rights of the oppressed and downtrodden, therefore they are afraid of the formation of a power based on Islam,” he added.
Ayatollah Khamenei said threats, chastisement and bragging in words are the major methods of oppressive powers for intimidating other nations, stressing that if a nation refuses to get intimidated by these methods and follows the path of righteousness and justice by full confidence in its own abilities, it will be able to defeat superpowers and force them into retreat.
He went on to add, “the powerful resistance of the Islamic Republic against the arrogant Front has led to the failure of the global oppressors in a majority of their goals. Political analysts and intellectuals of the world are stunned by the fact, confess that Iran has left the global powers unaccomplished in the region by relying on God and national power.”
“The cases of Syria, Iraq and Lebanon are examples of the defeat of the United States’ conspiracies in the region,” he said, adding that “they are signs of the Power of God and an affirmation of Divine Promises, that: if you assist [the cause of] God, God will grant you victory and persistence.”
