Foreign Ministry Spokesperson, Bahram Ghasemi, has rebuked Friday terrorist attack in a Shia center in Baluchistan Province of Pakistan.

Ghasemi, Spokesman of Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, shared sympathies with Pakistani nation, government and victims’ families adding “these brutal attacks are aimed at causing insecurity in Pakistan and spearing sedition and religious disputes.”

He stressed the need for vigilance and attempt to preserve unity between the neighboring country’s government and nation in a bid to continue the battle against terrorists and to eliminate violence from the region.

The Friday morning attack near a shrine in Jhal Magsi District has lead to deaths of 18 people while as many as 22 people have also been injured. According to reports, the death toll is likely to grow as some of the injured people are in critical conditions.

So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the suicide attack though authorities of Pakistan usually blame extremist groups like Baluchistan’s separatist insurgent group for similar terrorist blasts.
