<p>Iran’s Sanda team defended its title at the World Wushu Championships held in Shanghai, China.</p>
<p>According To <a href="https://irannewsdaily.com/">Iran News</a>,</p>
<p>Iranian women won three gold medals and men’s practitioners also claimed five gold medals.</p>
<p>Shahrbano Mansouriyan (70kg), Maryam Hashemi (75kg) and Elaheh Mansouriyan (75kg) claimed three golds in the women’s section.</p>
<p>Iranian men’s practitioners Erfan Ahangarian (65kg), Ali Khorshidi (80kg), Mohsen Mohammad Seifi (70kg), and Milad Arefi (85kg) and Yousef Sabri (75kg) won five gold medals.</p>
<p>Talolu practitioner Mohammad Ali Mojiri also won a gold medal in the nandao discipline.</p>
<p>Hanieh Rajabi won two silvers in the nandao and nangun and Zahra Kiani seized a bronze in the changquan discipline.</p>
<p>Players from 102 countries and regions participated in the competition, the most high-level contest within the Wushu sport.</p>
<p>Host China sits top of the table with 10 gold medals and one bronze in Sanada and Taolu, followed by Iran with seven golds, two silvers and one bronze.</p>

<p>The Sanda practitioner defeated Ece Çakır from Turkey in the final match of the women&#8217;s 65kg category.</p>
<p>The Iranian practitioners have already won three gold medals at the competitions.</p>
<p>On Monday, Shahrbano Mansouriyan and Maryam Hashemi won two gold medals in Sanda events.</p>
<p>Mansouriyan defeated Brazilian Raine Cristina De Oliveira Martins in the women&#8217;s 70kg final bout.</p>
<p>In the women’s 75kg, Maryam Hashemi defeated Indian athlete Poonam and won a gold medal.</p>

<p>According To <a href="https://irannewsdaily.com/">Iran News</a>, Hanieh Rajabi from Iran won a silver medal at the 15th edition of the World Wushu Championships on Tuesday.</p>
<p>The Taolu practitioner came second in the nandao discipline with 9.490.</p>
<p>Malaysian Cheong Min Tan claimed the gold medal with the score of 9.610 and bronze medal went to Uzbekistan’s Darya Latisheva with 9.483.</p>
<p>Iranian wushu practitioners have already claimed four goal medals in the competition.</p>
<p>Maryam Hashemi, Shahrbano Mansouriyan and Elaheh Mansouriyan won three gold medals in Sanda events.</p>
<p>Mansouriyan defeated Brazilian Raine Cristina De Oliveira Martins in the women&#8217;s 70kg final bout.</p>
<p>In the women’s 75kg, Maryam Hashemi defeated Indian athlete Poonam and won a gold medal.</p>
<p>And Elaheh Mansouriyan seized a gold after defeating Ece Çakır from Turkey in the final match of the women&#8217;s 65kg category.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The 2019 edition of Asian Junior Wushu Championships was held from August 19 to 23 in Taolu and Sanda disciplines of both girls and boys categories. 265 athletes from 16 countries participated in the event, held in Brunei.</p>
<p>In the total of Sanda and Taolu competitions, Iranian practitioners won seven gold, five silver and 11 bronze medals to finish the event in the third place after China (20-2-1) and Macao (7-9-3).</p>
<p>Iran came runner-up in Sanda discipline with six gold, one silver and five bronze medals. China (8-2-1) gained the title while Vietnam (2-2-4) stood third.</p>
<p>Iranian practitioners gained repeated their same rank gained in the 2017 edition of the games held in South Korea.</p>

<p>The competition kicked off on July 9 and will go through July 16 in Brasilia, Brazil.</p>
<p>Young Iranian wushu athletes started their competition both in Taolu and Sanda category.</p>
<p>Mehdi Khani collected 8.92 points in the 12-15 age group of boys’ Nanquan form and received the silver medal. Chinese and Malaysian practitioners stood at the first and third place of this category respectively.</p>
<p>Fateme Jazini gained 9.1 points and picked up another silver in the 12-15 age group of girls’ Daoshu form. Macau and Hong Kong grabbed gold and bronze medals respectively.</p>
<p>In the 15-18 age group category of girls’ nanquan form, Iran’s Mina Panahi bagged another silver. Athlete from Hong Kong snatched gold and bronze medal went to Macau practitioner.</p>
<p>Mohammad Ali Mojiri in the 15-18 age group category of boys’ nanquan form were the only bronze-winner of Iran in the first day. Chinese representative grabbed gold and silver went to an athlete from Singapore.</p>
<p>Also in Sanda category, Ayda Heidari and Mohammad Farhadi won their contests against rivals and will fight for the medal in the coming days.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<h3 class="lead">TEHRAN – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, in a message released on Wednesday, congratulated the country&#8217;s historic record in the 14th edition of World Wushu Championships in Russia.</h3>

<p>Iranian sanda practitioners made history, winning the World Wushu Championships for the first time.</p>
<p>The Iranian fighters claimed seven gold medals and one silver in the competition.</p>
<p>China became runner-up with seven gold medals and one silver. Host Russia finished in third place after winning two gold, one silver and two bronze medals.</p>
<p>China had won 13 times out of 14 editions.</p>
<p>In his message, President Rouhani lauded the victory as &#8220;valuble&#8221;.</p>
<p>The president further wished continuation of the achievements of the Iranian youth in all sport contests.</p>
<p>The 14th World Wushu Championships (WWC) took place from Sept. 27 to Oct. 3 in Kazan City. The tournament brought together approximately 860 competitors from 57 countries.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><span class="intro-text">TEHRAN – Iranian female wushu fighters collected 11 medals to land second overall at the 14th World Wushu Championships.</span></p>

<p>Final showdowns of the international sportive tournament in in the western Russian city of Kazan saw Iran clinching more medals at various divisions. Persian wushu practitioners finished runner-up in the tournament after winning eight gold, one silver and two bronze medals. China won the title with 15 trophies at the end of the tournament held at the Gymnastics Palace of Universiade Village in Kazan, Russia. The third place was occupied by Hong Kong who scooped five gold, three silver and three bronze medals.</p>
<p>Competing in -52kg weight group, Elaheh Mansourian of Iran defeated an opponent from Vietnam and stood on top of the podium.</p>
<p>Mansourian had struck an off draw in the opening round though she quelled rivals from Indonesia and South Korea on road to the finals.</p>
<p>Earlier, the Iranian men’s duelin Taolu team offered stunning athletic performances and collected the gold medal with a total score of 9.61 points.</p>
<p>Zahra Kiani also won 9.56 points to pick up the bronze in the Jianshu form of Taolu competitions in the tournament. Additionally, Haniyeh Rajabi earned 9.45 points to stand on the third podium in the Shuang Jian form of Taolu competitions.</p>
<p>In the women’s minus 70-kilogram category, Maryam Hashemi breezed past her Philippine rival and got the gold medal.</p>
<p>Moreover, Shahrbanou Mansourian stood on top of the podium once she downed her Egyptian rival in the final contest of women’s minus 65-kilogram category of the Sanda discipline.</p>
<p>In Men’s section, Mohsen Mohammadseifi clinched the gold medal in the minus 70-kilogram section after he defeated an Egyptian contestant.</p>
<p>On more gold medal was earned by Yousef Sabri who beat a rival from Macau in the men&#8217;s minus 75-kilogram class of the Sanda section.</p>
<p>Moein Taghavi beat his Belarusian opponent in the final debut of men&#8217;s minus 85-kilogram category and won the gold medal. Milad Arefi Magham overcame a representative from Egypt in the final match of men’s minus 90-kilogram division and received the gold medal.</p>
<p>Meanwhile, Hamidreza Gholipour failed to overcome a competitor from China in the final showdown of men’s over 90-kilogram weight category and was awarded with the silver medal.</p>
<p>The 14th edition of World Wushu Championships got underway on September 27, and came to an end on October 3, 2017.</p>
