TEHRAN (Iran News) – U.S., the True Blood Shedder . The US. Administrations through the history of this country have claimed that they are genuine supporters of human rights and nations and under this claim, better to say this pretext, they have dispatched their troops for protecting the nations but they have actually shed the blood of nations to dominate them.

If we have a glance at the history in the past six decades, we will see how the Americans have waged wars in different parts of the world just for their own interests under the guise of protecting the nations. In the 1950s to 1970s, the U.S. had a war with Vietnam where the American forces committed horrible crimes against the Vietnamese by killing some 2m Vietnamese but they were forced to leave there buy suffering humiliation.

The crimes of the Americans have continued through the history but mostly in the Middle East where the Americans were seeking to loot the oil and wealth of the countries through causing rifts among the groups, creating and supporting terrorist groups or triggering direct clashes with the regional forces.

After committing horrible crimes during the invasion of Iraq, the U.S. troops turned to Afghanistan under the pretext of combatting terrorism and fighting Al-Qaeda group which was behind the September 11 terrorist attack in the U.S.

However the Americans were forced to leave Afghanistan after 20 years and spending trillions of dollars with suffering humiliation but killing of thousands of Afghan nationals and they have to leave Iraq by killing thousands of Iraqis soon because of the pressures from Iraqi people.

Now international media by publishing a report have claimed that the U.S. forces have also killed thousands of African people during their presence in the African states to show that the U.S. crimes are not just limited to the Asian states.

At least 22,000 civilians have been killed in airstrikes conducted by U.S.-led forces in a number of countries in Africa and West Asia over the past 20 years of the so-called ‘forever wars,’ a conflict monitor says.

In a new approximation, the UK-based organization Airwars said at least 22,679 civilians, and as many as 48,308 ones, lost their lives in airstrikes that were part of the US-led “war on terror” launched following terror attacks in New York and Washington DC on September 11, 2001.

The not-for-profit company, which tracks and archives the international air war against the Daesh Takfiri terrorist group and other terror factions in Iraq, Syria and Libya, issued its report ahead of the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

The report added that the figures take into account civilians that were killed during the military intervention and the subsequent occupation of Afghanistan and Iraq by the US-led forces, as well as their bombing campaign supposedly against Daesh plus targeted airstrikes in Libya, Pakistan, Somalia and Yemen.

Airwars further noted that the deadliest year – when looking at the minimum total death toll – was 2003, when at least 5,529 civilians were killed by U.S. airstrikes, almost all of them during the invasion of Iraq.

It added that the next deadliest year – likewise – was 2017, when at least 4,931 civilians lost their lives in bombing campaigns by the U.S.-led military coalition in Iraq and Syria.

But as for the maximum possible death toll, the deadliest year was 2017, when as many as 19,623 civilians lost their lives by the U.S. or U.S.-led coalition airstrikes against purported Daesh positions, the report said.

According to Airwars, 97 percent of civilian strikes-caused fatalities occurred during the occupation of Iraq between 2003 and 2009, the two-decades-long occupation of Afghanistan, and the bombing campaign ‘against Daesh.’

The London-based monitor, citing data from several sources, said the US Department of Defense does not publish full counts of civilian casualties recognized by the agency.

Airwars compiled its report using statistics from the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan, Bureau of Investigative Journalism, The Nation, and the volunteer project Iraq Body Count.

This report is just one example for tens of U.S. crimes in the world while the country accuses Islamic countries and nations of terrorism or violence.

Recent disgraces in the Middle East have shown the world the true face and nature of the U.S. in dealing with the human rights issues as they interpret it, and it does pursues it wherever it wants.

But claims of Americans regarding democracy and defending human rights have lost its color and they are better to go and find a better and logical pretext and claim for keeping their presence in the countries because people in the world have noticed who is the real blood shedder and supporter of terrorism and violence in the world.

A total of 732 cases were recorded across the country between Jan. 23 and Feb. 25, according to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA).

It said seven deaths and 617 cases were reported in the central Hiran region and at least 115 cases were recorded in a week in the southeastern Banadir region, in which the capital Mogadishu is located.

“Three months after Deyr rains flooded parts of Somalia, acute water diarrhea (AWD)/cholera cases remain high … This situation could worsen when April-June rains start,” the UN agency said in a tweet.

It said women and children under the age of five were most vulnerable and they would need more help if AWD/cholera cases surge after the next rainfall season.

A doctor in Beledweyne, the capital of the hard-hit Hiran region, told Anadolu Agency that most victims in the latest outbreak were children, women and the elderly.

“Children, pregnant women, and elderly people have been most affected. There are many in hospitals right now. We need the federal government, other states, and humanitarian agencies to send medical aid and doctors for our help,” said Hussein Abdihakin Mohamed.

TEHRAN (Iran News) – A car bomb targeting a group of Turkish contractors exploded on Saturday in Afgoye, northwest of the Somalia capital Mogadishu, police said.

There was no immediate word on any fatalities.

“A speeding suicide car bomb rammed into a place where the Turkish engineers and Somali police were having lunch,” police officer Nur Ali told Reuters from Afgoye.

It was not known who carried out the attack but residents and police said al-Shabaab fighters had tried to attack Afgoye, about 30 km from Mogadishu, late on Friday and were repulsed.

The al-Qaeda-linked militant group has claimed responsibility for past attacks in its campaign to overturn Somalia’s UN-backed government.

Residents and police said al-Shabaab fighters had tried to attack Afgoye, about 30 km from Mogadishu, late on Friday but they were repulsed.

“We heard a huge blast and soon clouds of smoke into the air. Before the blast, several Turkish engineers and well-armed convoy of Somali police were at the scene,” Farah Abdullahi, a shopkeeper, told Reuters from Afgoye.

“We see casualties being carried but we cannot make if they are dead or injured.”

Turkish contractors are helping with road construction in Somalia. A group of engineers was among those hit in late December in a blast at a checkpoint in Mogadishu that killed at least 90 people.

Twin car bombings and subsequent gunfire has left at least 27 people dead and 20 others wounded in Somalia’s capital, Mogadishu, medical workers said.

A loud explosion reportedly took place on Friday, followed by a second blast and sustained gunfire which broke out near the president’s residence. The second blast took place beside a popular hotel, Al Jazeera reported.

The Aamin Ambulance service, which confirmed the death toll, transported victims to the hospital.

The armed group al-Shabab claimed responsibility for the attack.

“As far as we know, there has been one blast beside the presidential palace, and another close to a popular hotel,” Major Mohamed Ahmed, a police officer, told local media.

AAMIN Ambulance transported Victims to Hospital caused car explosion near Fiyad Hotel the more information will notes as soon as possible pic.twitter.com/L4rTgi20Ek — Aamin Ambulance (@AaminAmbulance) February 23, 2018.

The attack comes a day after the Somali government had issued a “terror warning” in the capital.

The explosions shattered a months-long period of calm in Mogadishu, which is often the target of attacks by al-Shabab.

In December, 18 police officers were killed when an al-Shabab fighter blew himself up inside the country’s main police academy in Mogadishu.

The capital was also the target of a truck bombing in October that killed 512 people in the deadliest attack in Somalia’s history. The Somali government blamed that blast on the al-Qaeda linked al-Shabab.

A truck bomb exploded outside the Safari Hotel, near Somalia’s Foreign Ministry, and lined with government offices, hotels, restaurants and shops. The blast injured over 200 people and death toll is feared to continue to rise.

The second explosion took place in the city’s Madina district two hours later, according to police.

Following the attack, Somali President Mohamed Farmaajo declared a three-day national mourning beginning on Sunday.

None of the local terror groups have claimed responsibility for the attacks. However, similar assaults in the country have been blamed on fighters from Al-Shabaab who have launched regular attacks on the city since 2011.

At least six people have been killed and several others injured in a bomb attack carried out in central Somalia, police and residents say.

Major Hussein Osman, a police officer, said the bombing in the central city of Beledweyne on Sunday afternoon rocked a restaurant outside the office of the governor of Hiran region where he was holding a meeting.

Beledweyne is located about 340 kilometers north of the capital Mogadishu.

“A bomber blew up himself in a restaurant,” the officer said.

Farah Ali, a local elder, said clan elders were among the dead. “The bomber, who had an explosive jacket, stood inside the restaurant and blew up himself. We were heading to a meeting in the governor’s office when it happened.”

Abdiasis Abu Musab, a spokesman for the Takfiri al-Shabab militant group, has claimed responsibility for the assault. “We are behind the attack at the Hiran governor’s headquarters. There are casualties. We targeted the workers of the Hiran administration.”

The al-Qaeda-linked group has in the past carried out frequent attacks in Mogadishu and other parts of Somalia in a bid to topple the country’s government and drive out African Union peacekeeping troops.

Somalia has been at war since 1991, when clan-based warlords overthrew dictator Siad Barre and then turned on each other.

The country has been the scene of deadly clashes between government forces and al-Shabab militants since 2006.

The Takfiri militant group was forced out of the capital by African Union troops in 2011 but still controls parts of the countryside and carries out attacks against government, military and civilian targets. The extremist group is just one of the challenges facing the new Somali government, which is still struggling to expand its authority beyond the capital and other selected areas.
