TEHRAN (Iran News) – Int’l Bodies Serving the West. People around the world are gradually realizing this point that the international bodies do not act impartially and they act in a way to please the big powers, mainly the West, in dealing some incidents in the world.

The Islamic Republic of Iran due to its anti-West policy is one of the main targets of punishment and condemnation by these bodies and as soon as something happens in the country or abroad, these bodies take stand against Tehran by attributing some charges like human rights or meddling in the affairs of other countries. But when some crime against Iran is committed, these bodies pass it indifferently or even do not pay any heed to it.

On January 3, 2020, the U.S. committed one of the horrible state terrorism acts by assassinating Iranian hero Martyr General Qasem Soleimani and his comrade and Americans admitted it rudely but the international bodies stopped condemning at least verbally this crime and even some of them hailed the U.S. forces.

Of course, Iranians like many freedom-loving people in the world do not expect too mush from these bodies which are fed by the West and serve the Westerners and whatever the West dictates, they act.

On Saturday, Iran called on the United Nations General Assembly to issue a resolution condemning the US assassination of the country’s top anti-terror commander General Soleimani to safeguard international peace and uphold human rights.

In a statement released on Saturday, the Legal Department of the Iranian president’s office marked the second anniversary of the assassination of General Soleimani, who arrived on a diplomatic visit in Baghdad, where he was targeted in a U.S. drone strike.

The statement pointed out that former U.S. president Donald Trump openly claimed responsibility for the heinous crime at the time, saying, “This dangerous move by the US government came while the UN Charter, as a fundamental document and basis of international consensus in the post-War period, prohibits governments from engaging in acts that are detrimental to international peace and security.”

It said the UN General Assembly should “take all legal initiatives within its authority, including the adoption of a resolution condemning the assassination of government and diplomatic officials by [another] government [and] take measures to prevent such crimes in the future.”

The statement also lamented the fact that the U.S. government infringes upon international laws and regulations via its extreme unilateralism while the international community remains silent.

Undoubtedly, it continued, international peace will be even more in danger if the perpetrators of the terrorist attack are free to walk with impunity.

General Soleimani was assassinated near Baghdad International Airport on January 3, 2020. His companions, including Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, who served as the deputy chief of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units (PMU), were also killed during the raid.

It will be a good test for the UNGA to prove its impartiality for spreading peace and justice in the world but we do not pin any hope on an anti-U.S. reaction or resolution from the UNGA because of bitter previous experiences.

In another move on Saturday, the secretary general of Iran’s High Council for Human Rights criticized silence and inaction of international bodies over the killing of the country’s police forces in their fight against terrorists, armed smugglers and thugs, saying countries and global organizations must uphold their responsibilities in dealing with the elements that undermine peace, stability and security.

In a Saturday letter to Michelle Bachelet Jeria, the United Nations high commissioner for human rights, Kazem Gharibabadi, who also serves as the Iranian judiciary chief’s deputy for international affairs, said some countries are pursuing a selective and political approach to terrorist groups and international smugglers.

He added that around 40 Iranian police forces have lost their lives from March 21 to December 3, 2021 in the fight against criminals and armed smugglers equipped with all kinds of smart weapons and heavy equipment.

Imagine this that Iranian enforcement forces kill some drugs smugglers in their encounters or Iranian court sentences the smugglers to death penalties. Suddenly all international bodies and even this Ms. Bachelet Jeria begin criticizing Tehran and accuse Iran of committing anti-human rights acts like what happened during the execution of a young murderer.

Pointing to “numerous” statements issued by the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights against Iran, Gharibabadi slammed lack of even a single statement condemning the terrorist and armed acts against the police forces of a country that has “rendered the greatest services to the international community through the fight against drug trafficking, human trafficking and organized crime.”

History has shown us that Iranians or other nations who do not give in to the Western powers should not expect any impartiality from such international bodies which are used as tools for paving the ground for domination of the arrogant powers. But one day the whole world will realize this and will take a serious action against these bodies and will reform them in favor of justice and impartiality. Time is ticking.

TEHRAN (Iran News) – Enemies to Face Harsh Response in Case of Any Aggression. Head of the Aerospace Division of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has warned the enemies against any acts of aggression, saying they will face a “harsh response” if they retest Iran’s power.

Brigadier General Amir-Ali Hajizadeh made the remarks on Saturday after Israel and Western countries accused Tehran of a suspected attack on an Israeli-managed tanker off the coast of Oman and threatened a response.

“The Islamic Republic has passed the test and does not need to be re-tested, but if they like, they can retest Iran,” he said.

“They have tested us and they know what response they will face. We have both the power and the will to exercise power. We will certainly deliver a harsh response and they cannot make such a mistake.”

According to reports, the Liberian-flagged Mercer Street, operated by Israeli-owned Zodiac Maritime Company, was hit near the Omani island of Masirah late on July 29. Two crew members were killed in the incident.

The Tel Aviv regime and its Western allies alleged that Iran had been behind the attack without presenting any shred of evidence to substantiate their claims.

Tehran denied any involvement in the incident and categorically dismissed the baseless accusations.

On January 8, 2020, the IRGC targeted the U.S.-run Ain al-Asad in Iraq’s western province of Anbar after launching a wave of attacks to retaliate the assassination of top Iranian anti-terror commander General Qassem Soleimani.

Iran’s mission to the United Nations has also strongly rejected the accusations against Iran over the alleged Mercer Street drone attack and warned the Zionist regime of any ‘miscalculation’.

Meanwhile yesterday, Iran’s embassy in the United Kingdom reacted to baseless allegations made by the British envoy at the United Nations over the country’s involvement in a recent incident for an Israeli-operated oil tanker in the Sea of Oman.

Barbara Woodward, UK’s permanent representative to the UN, reiterated the Group of Seven foreign ministers’ claim on Friday that Tehran was involved in the last week’s attack on the Israeli-managed tanker — Mercer Street — off the Omani coast, where two crew members were killed.

Labeling the attack as “deliberate and targeted,” Woodward claimed that Iran was “responsible” but said, “The door for diplomacy and dialogue remains open.”

Woodward also linked the global economy, goods and food to the security of commercial shipping, saying, “That is why we have international law that protects the freedom of shipping.”

The UK’s permanent representative to the UN accused Iran of “not respecting those laws,” and claimed that Iran’s activities “

TEHRAN (Iran News) – Iran’s Military Court Dismisses Rumor on Nonsuit Order for Ukrainian Crashed Plane Culprits. The Judicial Organization of Iran’s Armed Forces rejected rumors that a nonsuit order was issued for the culprits of downing of a Ukrainian flight PS752 in early January 2020.

“As previously mentioned, ten defendants in this case were summoned to the court due to culpability and negligence, and the case was sent to the court after an indictment was issued,” FNA quoted an informed source as saying on Sunday.

“Immediately after sending the case to the court, the case was studied by the presiding judge and several meetings were held with the [victims’] close relatives and their lawyers for initial preparations before the court hearing,” the source added.

The Ukrainian plane was shot down with 176 people aboard on January 8, 2020, by Iran’s air defenses, which mistook the aircraft for a military target amid military tensions between Tehran and Washington following the US assassination of Iran’s Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani in Iraq days earlier.

Hours before the tragedy happened, Iran had launched a retaliatory missile strike against a US-run base in western Iraq and then put the country’s air defenses on high alert due to increased American aerial activity in the aftermath of the strike.

Iran acknowledged days later that the mismanagement of an air defense unit’s radar system by its operator was the key human error that led to the accident.

Tehran has promised that all those culpable in the incident will face trial and said it has allocated 200 million Euros for compensation of the survivors.

In relevant remarks in April, Spokesman of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Keivan Khosravi censured efforts made to politicize the Ukrainian plane crash, calling the move as regrettable and inhumane.

Khosravi said the Ukrainian officials’ allegations on shooting down of a passenger plane over Iran’s sky are unconstructive, as they are trying to politicize the case.

He described efforts made to take political advantage “of the sentiments of scores of bereaved families” as “regrettable and inhuman,” adding that various independent expert groups have probed into all the existing hypotheses on the event.

“Unfortunately, Ukrainian officials are trying to ascribe false allegations to Iranian officials in order to politicize this case,” the spokesman noted.

“Sending the plane’s black boxes to France to decode their contents is the most important reason that proves Iran’s transparency and honesty in its effort to bring to light all details about this incident,” Khosravi said.

“We have accepted all demands put forth by Ukrainian government, which at times went beyond what was necessary under usual circumstances, so that, there would remain no dark corner in the efforts made to shed light on the truth in this incident,” he added.

Ashura Is Not a Memory But a School

Coronavirus pandemic has forced some smaller size mourning gatherings, used to be held in the past in the roofed places to commemorate the martyrdom of the third Imam of Shiites, Imam Hussein (A), in the first decade of month of Muharram, to be held in a bigger size and in the 20,000-man gathering, and it definitely compensated the shortages resulted by Coronavirus management protocols adopted for holding the Imam Hussein (A)’s mourning ceremonies.

IRAN NEWS POLITICAL DESK

In the narratives have been mentioned that is a passion embedded in the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (A) so that it never dies away. This year some people with secular intentions were seeking to restrict mourning ceremonies and gatherings for commemoration of Imam Hussein (A)’s martyrdom anniversary but they got disappointed by seeing such huge mourning gatherings and one can consider this disappointment of the opposition current regarding honoring Imam Hussein (A)’s martyrdom as some part of the passion lying in his martyrdom.

Since Karbala event and Asura to date, 1362 years have passed and during these years light and passion of martyrdom of Imam Hussein (A) has been glittering in the history. According to the historical calculation and according to the late DR. Ahmad Birshak’s calculation in the “Iranian Chronology”, Karbala event has happened on the 21st of month of Mehr 21 of Solar Hijri calendar year 59.

It is crystal clear for the experts that solar hijri year is not like lunar year that its days change because the Earth’s position regarding to the Sun is fixed and one can mention the prayer times of Karbala and convert them into the solar year all narratives and opinions of historians on this event with their exact hours and minutes.

In every second, minute and hour of Ashura event, some incidents have happened that several analytical, glorifying and honoring books can be written and compiled on them. The Supreme Leader considers Imam Hussein (A)’s action an exceptional one. In his remarks some 19 years ago on the Imam Hussein (A)’s move, the Leader said, “We do not understand what patience is. Patience finds it meaning in its own place. Many people from elites, dignities, wise men, compassionates and half-compassionates approached Imam Hussein (A), and told him what he was doing was a mere mistake and useless and his action would harm him and the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)’s Household and belittle the believers. Since the moment Imam Hussein (A) decided to set out his journey from Mecca to Kufa, people found out that these hurdles and immoralities against Imam had begun till Ashura. To be patient regarding these eventsand misbehaviors is very difficult. That time, I in my remarks pointed to this issue and told that the late Imam Khomeini (R) was patient and his patience was of Imam Hussein (A)’s type.”

Likening Imam Hussein (A)’s patience to Imam Khomeini’s in creating the Ashura culture and school in 1979, in other words, approximately 1300 years after Ashura Movement and School, is actually explanation, teaching and materialization of concepts of the school, as Imam Hussein (A) wished, which has helped the Islamic Republic to survive safely from all enmities from the East to the West through bloods and martyrdoms in the past 42 years.

Martyr Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani is the product of the very school and trained by such an academy. Through the history many currents had decided to turn Karbala and Ashura event into a just historical memory but history shows that they have failed and it is because of the literature of the uprising that innocence and innocence-orientation is the major base in all dimensions of it.

So this school is not a memory because memory loses its significance through the history and upheavals but not only have Muharram, Karbala and Ashura not ebbed but also they have survived and continued.

This is the very school that gives life and turns the ground for haplessness and incapability into a sustainable resistance against hegemony and it is going to materialize the ground for its continuation and deployment of making the world “Husseini” and to establish the universal government of his brave child Hazrat Mahdi (A) with the name of Hussein (A).
