Referring to close and friendly relations between the two countries, Mevlut Cavusoglu said that the Turkish President respects Iran’s territorial integrity and national sovereignty. He went on to say that Recep Tayyip Erdogan was unaware of the sensibility of the poem he recited during the ceremony.</p>
<p>Iranian Foreign Minister also emphasized the significance of friendly relations between Iran and Turkey and expressed hope that both sides expand bilateral ties in the future.</p>

<p>Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan traveled to Baku on Thursday to attend a military parade of Azerbaijani forces on the occasion of the liberation of the occupied territories.</p>
<p>At the ceremony, which was also attended by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Erdogan recited a separatist poem about the Aras River on the Iranian-Azerbaijani border.</p>

<p>Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan will co-chair the meeting, Turkey&#8217;s Communications Directorate said in a statement.</p>
<p>&#8220;During the Council meeting, all aspects of bilateral relations between Turkey and Iran will be reviewed, and steps aimed at further enhancing the cooperation in light of the new circumstances caused by the coronavirus pandemic will be discussed,&#8221; the statement said on Monday, the Daily Sabah reported.</p>
<p>&#8220;Views on bilateral relations as well as regional and international matters are also expected to be exchanged at the meeting,&#8221; it added.</p>
<p>This will be the sixth High-Level Cooperation Council meeting. The previous council meeting was held in 2018.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>TEHRAN (<a href="https://irannewsdaily.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Iran News</a>) – President Hassan Rouhani stressed in a telephone call with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on July 31 that Iran is firm to promote all-out and friendly ties and cooperation with Turkey.</p>

<p>President Rouhani congratulated Erdogan on the auspicious occasion of Eid al-Adha (Feast of the Sacrifice) to the people and government of Turkey hoping that Tehran and Ankara will make proper efforts to control the coronavirus pandemic through further mutual cooperation and exchange of experiences to this end, IRNA reported.</p>
<p>Referring to certain regional developments, the Iranian president expressed hope that “peace and security will be back to the region with the help and support of all regional states.”</p>
<p>President Rouhani further referred to the cruel sanctions imposed by the US on the Iranian nation and said, “Under present circumstances, friendly states such as Iran and Turkey have to boost bilateral relations and cooperation more than ever.”</p>
<p>Meanwhile, the Turkish president urged the need to upgrade bilateral trade and economic cooperation and facilitate boosting Tehran-Ankara relations while observing health protocols due to the COVID-19 pandemic.</p>
<p>Erdogan also expressed hope that the two capital will soon hold a meeting of Iran-Turkey Supreme Council for Strategic Cooperation.</p>
<p>Formed for the first time ever in the history of bilateral relations, the council was established in June 2014, to help the expansion of bilateral cooperation. It comprises members of the two countries&#8217; cabinet ministers.</p>
<p>The Turkish president also congratulated Eid al-Adha on the Iranian government and nation.</p>

<p>According To <a href="https://irannewsdaily.com/">Iran News</a>, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said that President Recep Tayyeb Erdogan will travel to Iran after the pandemic is over.</p>
<p>In a press conference on Monday, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu met and held talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in Istanbul and noted that Turkish President Erdoğan will travel to Tehran after the outbreak is over.</p>
<p>Referring to the COVID-19 crisis, Cavusoglu said coronavirus indicated that we need to enhance cooperation and that Ankara is ready to boost its tie with Iran in the fight against the pandemic and other issues.</p>
<p>Cavusoglu also announced that the two countries intend to resume their flights from August 1, 2020.</p>
<p>He also referred to the talks between Turkish and Russian president’s on the Libyan crisis and the efforts to establish a ceasefire in the country and said that Moscow and Ankara have no major disagreement in this regard.</p>
<p>FM Zarif also maintained that bilateral ties in the battle against COVID-19 will increase in the future and also appreciate Turkish collaboration in countering US unilateral sanctions against the Islamic Republic.</p>
