										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Araghchi offers condolences over death of renowned Iranian musician</p>
<p>TEHRAN (<a href="https://www.irannewsdaily.com/">Iran News</a>) &#8220;Late Shahbazian, a capable master of Iranian music, played a valuable role in elevating the country&#8217;s musical art,&#8221; Araghchi wrote on his personal Instagram page on Saturday night. &#8220;musician&#8221;</p>
<p>The top diplomat mentioned some of the couplets from one of the famous compositions of Shahbazian and sad:  &#8220;I offer my condolences on the passing of a capable master of Iranian music, who left behind great and valuable works and played a valuable role in elevating the country&#8217;s musical art.&#8221;</p>
<p>According to IRNA, the artist passed away on Saturday due to acute respiratory problems after being hospitalized two days ago.</p>
<p>Born on June 11, 1942, in Tehran, Shahbazian developed a passion for music early on, influenced by his father, Hossein Shahbazian, a student of legendary Abolhasan Saba.</p>
<p>His first violin teacher was Ataollah Khadem Misagh, who after a while introduced him to Russian teacher, Serge Khotsev.</p>
<p>Shahbazian pursued music studies at the Tehran Conservatory of Music and became a member of the Tehran Symphony Orchestra at the age of 17, after which he began his collaboration with the Radio Flowers Orchestra.</p>
<p>His career spanned various roles, including composing for the Farabi Orchestra and leading the Iranian National Orchestra from October 2016 to March 2019.</p>
<p>In the 1980s, he ventured into film scoring and co-founded the Music Council at Iran’s national broadcaster.</p>
<p>Some of his notable film scores include “Life” (1997), “Hiva” (1998), “The Last Supper”, “Innocence Lost” (2003), “The Fourth Child” (2012), and “Son of Fortune” (2012).</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="summary">TEHRAN – A director has made a documentary about the Iranian tambur virtuoso, Seyyed Qadamyar Hosseini, who is considered Iran’s oldest musician ever to have performed onstage.</p>
<p>Hosseini gave a performance during the 7th Regional Music Festival at Tehran’s Vahdat Hall in May 2011 when he was at 117. He also received a lifetime achievement award at the festival, the Persian service of ILNA reported on Monday.</p>
<p>Aref Mohammadi spent two years making the documentary “The Song of God”.</p>
<p>Hosseini was born in 1894 in the western Iranian city of Kermanshah. He passed away in 2014.</p>
<p>He learned to play the tambur from his father, Seyyed Tarimorad, when he was a child. He brushed up his performance skills by attending classes held by his elder brother, Seyyed Salman, and his uncle, Seyyed Baba Hossein.</p>

<p>The performance has been organized by Hermes Records, a Tehran-based label that distributes works by prominent musicians in Iran, Turkey, Italy, UK, France, Germany, Greece and several other countries.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="summary">TEHRAN – Khalu Mohammad-Qanbar Hormozi, a musician with Liva, a regional music band from the southern Iranian province of Hormozgan, died of a heart attack in Tehran on Tuesday.</p>
<p>The 88-year-old veteran passed out while performing on stage at Tehran’s Baran Theater on Monday night and was immediately taken to Firuzgar Hospital where he died the next day.</p>
<p>Khalu Mohammad was an expert on percussions, and was in Tehran with Liva to give performances during the Hormoz Art Week, which opened on Sunday.</p>
<p>Liva’s next performances were canceled following the death of the musician. He was transferred to Hormoz to be buried in his homeland.</p>
<p>Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Abbas Salehi visited the Liva band at the Baran Theater on Tuesday to extend sympathy and condolences to the members.</p>
<p>Liva is one of the oldest bands from the city of Hormoz in Hormozgan Province.</p>
