Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has said Russia put forth an initiative for reviving the 2015 Iran nuclear deal that is “simple” and “understandable.”

Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian warned international powers that a window for reviving a 2015 international deal on Iran’s nuclear program, known as the JCPOA, remains open but not forever.

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi stated on Tuesday that the United States should make a decision on lifting sanctions on Iran within the framework of the talks, which started in April last year to revive the 2015 nuclear deal.

Farhang Jahanpour, a former Senior Fulbright Research Scholar at Harvard, said on Saturday that negotiations to revive the 2015 Iran nuclear deal are being sacrificed for the approaching congressional elections in the U.S. and Knesset elections in Israel.

For more than a decade, the Islamic Republic of Iran has been busy with settling its peaceful nuclear issue with world powers and it seems this story does not want to end and everyday a new pretext or bully is raised by the Western countries and especially in recent months through European countries, remaining in the nuclear deal which has been signed in 2015 and has been actually useless especially from the moment former U.S. President Donald Trump unilaterally withdrew from the deal.

The Iranian foreign ministry spokesman says a statement the European troika regarding the talks over the revival of the Iran nuclear deal is unconstructive and is in breach of goodwill.

In a series of tweets on Sunday, Seyyed Mohammad Marandi, the advisor to the Iranian negotiating team shed light on Iran’s response to the United States’ amendments to the EU proposal intended to remove the sanctions on Iran.

On Thursday the Islamic Republic submitted its views on the U.S. response to the EU draft text on revival of the 2015 JCPOA deal and now the ball is in the U.S. court to show its will for striking the new deal but many analysts believe that the current U.S. Administration lacks enough courage to sign the deal because of the mid-term elections for the Congress and Senate in the U.S.

For years the Islamic Republic of Iran has tried to give some voluntary and one-sided concessions to the International Atomic Energy Agency in order to prove its good-will and sincere cooperation with this UN body but unfortunately the body has been emboldened to ask more from Tehran while closes its eyes on some other countries.
