TEHRAN – Islamic Revolution Leader has denounced the United States as the most evil and hideous of all enemies.

Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei urged officials to maintain their unity and solidarity, and stand up to the vast enemy front with one voice.

“The enemy’s front is mobilizing all its political, economic and propaganda power today to bring the strong Iranian nation to its knees,” said Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei.

“Under such circumstances, and despite difference of opinion inside the country, we should join hands against the nonsense-talking enemy in unison,” he added in a videoconference with members of the new Parliament.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Ayatollah Khamenei likened to an “illness” the numerous economic problems that Iran is facing.

“Due to its strong stamina and defense power, the country undoubtedly has what it takes to tackle this illness,” he said.

“By the enemies’ own admission, they have been unable to achieve their anti-Iran objectives despite the most severe sanctions and pressure imposed on Iran,” he noted.

The Leader also expressed regret over a surge in the coronavirus outbreak in the country, urging all to abide by health protocols, especially wearing masks.

Speaking to Majlis members through videoconference, Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized that disputes will upset people. We must all speak with one voice against the enemy.

He called the 11th Majlis “a manifestation of hope and expectation of the people” and referred to the “strong strength and financial capacities” and “Spiritual abilities and faith of the nation and noted that we believe that all existing problems can be solved, and that parliament must make a significant impact by prioritizing issues, avoiding trivial matters, and working sincerely for the people in resolving problems.

Expressing deep regret over the deep resurgence of Corona, the Leader urged everyone to fully comply with health guidelines, adding that by expanding the cooperative movement to the needy, people help the poor and needy families.

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution called the presence of an acceptable percentage of the people in the parliamentary elections despite the difficult economic conditions and disappointing propaganda of the enemies as an indication of the hope and expectation of the nation to solve problems and advised the members of parliament to regard to this important achievement.

He called the 11th parliament one of the strongest and most revolutionary assemblies after the revolution, adding that the presence of “motivated, faithful, resilient, capable, educated and efficient youth” along with a number of revolutionary managers with executive records, as well as a number of the experienced individuals with parliamentary records, has turned the 11th into a very good and hopeful parliament.

Ayatollah Khamenei, expressing satisfaction with the sensitivity of the 11th parliament to the issues of the revolution and the MPs’ strive in formation of the presiding board and commissions, added that the four-year term for representation is a good opportunity to pave the way for the country’s general movement and have a great impact on the process of resolving Iran’s problems and progress and future.

In another part of his remarks, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution likened the country’s many economic problems to a “disease” and at the same time underscored that due to its strong strength and defense power, the country can undoubtedly overcome this disease, as the enemies acknowledge today that despite the toughest sanctions and all-out pressure, they have not been able to achieve their anti-Iranian goals.

Ayatollah Khamenei termed “inflation, the devaluation of the national currency, irrational expensiveness, problems of manufacturing companies and the problems caused by sanctions” as issues that have made life difficult, especially for the lower and middle classes.

Explaining some of the country’s capabilities, Ayatollah Khamenei added that creating thousands of knowledge-based companies, implementing hundreds of infrastructure projects, continuous exploitation of new projects, astonishing progress in the military industry and admirable successes in space issues are the results of using part of the country’s very strong and extensive capacities.

The Leader of the Revolution described the spiritual capacities of the nation, which are rooted in the religious and revolutionary faith of the people, as complementary to the many natural, geographical and historical capacities and added that spiritual capacities should be considered and used as a very important factor.

In a series of tweets published on the Twitter page of Ayatollah Khamenei on Wednesday, the Leader said the Persian Gulf belongs to the nations living there, and those are the ones responsible for ensuring its security.

“The Persian Gulf belongs to the nations living there. Its security is the duty of these nations, & Iran with its long coastlines has a key role in keeping the security of this region. By God’s grace, we will do our part. This is our historical, geographical & regional duty,” said one of the tweets, which were posted on the occasion of the National Persian Gulf Day.

The Leader also said that a “wise and rational collective policy” in favor of the people of the region cannot be achieved while foreign forces are present in the Persian Gulf, Press TV reported.

“The #PersianGulf region can be managed by a wise and rational collective policy that benefits all Persian Gulf countries. The factor that threatens such a proper, wise move is the presence of foreign forces in the region,” the Leader added.

“The #PersianGulf is our home & the place for the presence of the great #IranianNation. The shores of the Persian Gulf & much of the Gulf of Oman, belong to this nation, & it should be present there. It should demonstrate its power. We’re a powerful nation with a great history,” said another post in the Leader’s Twitter account.

Earlier in the day, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani also reminded the US to whom the waterway truly belongs.

“The Americans should know that this waterway is called ‘the Persian Gulf.’ It is not called ‘the New York Gulf’ or ‘the Washington Gulf,’” Rouhani told a cabinet session in Tehran.

According To Iran News, Islamic Revolution Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said that European signatories are serving US interests and cannot bring the Iranian nation to its knees.

This is the first time in the past eight years that Ayatollah Khamenei leads the prayers.

The day the Iranian nation held the biggest funeral in the world for the Quds Force commander General Soleimani and the day IRGC missiles smashed US’ base are among the days of God, said the Iranian Leader, adding, the effects that these days leave behind is permanent.

It was God’s power that led to the magnificent presence of people and their tears and passion in streets for the funeral of Gen. Soleimani, said the Leader, noting that this shows God’s determination in the continuation of this path by the Iranian nation till the final victory.

Zionist outlets sought to tarnish our dear commander’s image but of no avail as people from across the world mourned for him and understood the true face of US and the Israeli regime.

General Soleimani was the most powerful commander in the fight against terrorism in the region and all acknowledge this fact, highlighted the Leader.

The US government assassinated Soleimani, not in the battlefield but a cowardly manner and they admitted their act of terror, this is a true disgrace for Washington, he added.

IRGC Quds Force should be viewed as a human organization with human values, said the Leader, noting that the force protects oppressed people across the region.  Quds force eradicated ISIL which was created by the US to destabilize Iran, he added.

Pointing to the millions of Iranians who took to the streets to commemorate Martyr Soleimani, Ayatollah Khamenei said the Iranian nation showed that it supports resistance.

American clowns claim they are standing behind Iranians but they all lie, he said, adding that American officials only seek to put their dagger inside the body the Iranian nation. Missiles fired at US base revealed the Iranian nation’s true feeling towards the US, he said.

The horrible tragedy of the Ukrainian plane truly saddened the Iranian nation but enemies sought to overshadow martyrdom of Resistance commanders with the tragic incident, he added.

The enemy became so happy with the unintentional downing of the plane because they thought that they had found a pretext to destroy Iran’s face but they will certainly fail, Ayatollah Khamenei said.

The Leader once again offered condolences to the families of the victims, noting that the glorious funeral, missile attack on US base won’t be forgotten by the Iranian nation.

One of the other measures to overshadow Iran’s strong response to Arrogance was the statement by the European signatories that warned to bring back UN sanctions.

The leader went on to say that Germany, France, UK provided Saddam with weapons during the war against Iran and that the European countries are serving the US interests.

Europeans won’t be able to bring the Iranian nation to their knees, he said, adding that Europeans sitting behind the negotiation table are terrorists who serve the same master.

Iran is not afraid of negotiation, the Leader highlighted, adding, that gaining strength is our only way to get out of the current conditions.

He went on to describe Europeans behind the negotiating table as those with an iron hand in a velvet glove.

Ayatollah Khamenei then read a statement in Arabic, addressing the Iraqi nation. He stressed that heavy efforts are underway to nake rift between the Iranian and Iraqi nations.
