Iranian defense minister travels to UAE to visit Dubai Airshow 2025

TEHRAN (Iran News) Brigadier General Nasirzadeh arrived in Dubai on Monday at the head of a delegation to meet with UAE officials and attend the Dubai Airshow 2025.

The trip is part of Iran’s defense diplomacy and aims to strengthen regional interactions and explore opportunities for cooperation in various fields.

During his visit to different sections of the exhibition, the Iranian minister will meet and hold talks with defense officials from several countries participating in the event.

The Dubai Airshow features over 1,500 exhibitors, 200 aircraft displayed in flying and static formats, 12 conference tracks, and more than 450 global visionaries sharing insights and ideas.

Iranian Naval Air Defense Gear to Run: Defense Minister

TEHRAN (Iran News) – Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami said his ministry is going to unveil new homegrown military products, including air defense systems for naval vessels.

In an interview with Sputnik, the Iranian defense minister said Tehran continues to make progress in the naval air defense industry.

Highlighting the great advances in manufacturing anti-cruise missile and agile air defense systems, Hatami said Iran is going to unveil new products relating to air defense systems of vessels.

He also noted that Iran has developed anti-armor missiles and produced smart ammunition.

Iranian military experts and technicians have in recent years made great headways in manufacturing a broad range of indigenous equipment, making the armed forces self-sufficient in the arms sphere.

Iranian officials have repeatedly underscored that the country will not hesitate to strengthen its military capabilities, including its missile power, which are entirely meant for defense, and that Iran’s defense capabilities will be never subject to negotiations.

Back in February 2018, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei called for efforts to maintain and boost Iran’s defense capabilities, hitting back at the enemies for disputing the country’s missile program.

“Without a moment of hesitation, the country must move to acquire whatever is necessary for defense, even if the whole world is opposed to it,” Ayatollah Khamenei said at the time.

Hatami warns of emerging Hitlers due to inaction against law violations

Iranian Defense Minister Amir Hatami said that if the world does not adopt measures against international law violations, new Hitlers will emerge.

The United States is imposing sanctions against Iran because Iranians have chosen to be an independent nation, he highlighted, adding that the US is using economic terrorism against the Iranian nation and even sabotages the process of providing required medicine and essential needs of the country.

He made the remarks at the 4th ICMM Pan-Asia Pacific Congress on Military Medicine, a four-day event which started on Friday in Tehran-based IRIB International Conference Center, and will wrap up today.

“Our nation is a major victim of chemical bombs and imposed war, and our families are still suffering from the pains of these incidents,” said the minister, adding, “today, the Islamic Republic of Iran is showing its full potential for military medicine, so that others countries would not suffer from the pain of war.”

The international community is required to take appropriate measures against warmongers, and those who commit genocide as in Yemen, MoD highlighted.

Saying that those countries which possess chemical weapons should compensate for their past mistakes, Hatami noted that Iran, as an active state in fight against chemical weapons, is ready to share its experiences to those attending the conference through training sessions.

Enemy seeking to undermine Iran’s regional influence, defense power

Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami said the enemies have come to the conclusion that they are not capable of posing a serious threat to Iran and they aim to restrict the regional influence and defense power of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Speaking at a gathering of commanders of the Iranian Army in Tehran on Tuesday, Hatami underlined that Iran, in the shadow of the high ideals of the glorious Islamic Revolution, has the ability to influence in the hearts of the free nations, but the influence of the enemies is merely restricted to the dependent rulers of the countries, and the nations are well aware that Iran always wants security and peace for the people of the region and the world.

“The global domination has always sought to provoke war and unrest in the region, in order to gain a huge return on arms sales, Hatami noted.

He also underlined that the enemies are not able to impose a credible threat against Iran and their goal is to restrict the regional influence and the defense power of the Islamic Republic.

Pointing to the unwarranted allegations of US ambassador to the United Nations regarding the use of Iranian missiles in the recent Yemeni military attack on Saudi Arabia, Hatami said that such unsubstantiated claims signaled the failure of US policies in the region and the world; it looks like a ridiculous, unrealistic show, and of course the Islamic Republic of Iran will pursue the necessary legal steps.

Trump’s al-Quds move sign of frustration, Iran says

TEHRAN – Iranian Defense Minister Amir Hatami said on Tuesday that Donald Trump’s recognition of al-Quds (Jerusalem) as the capital of Israel shows frustration of the U.S. in the Middle East.

“The U.S. decision in relocating Israel’s embassy to the noble Quds is an irresponsible policy which will lead to the strengthening of the Zionist regime of Israel’s occupational approach,” Hatami said in a phone conversation with Turkish Defense Minister Nurettin Canikli.

Hatami added that the U.S. took such an act because of division among Muslims and certain Arab countries’ compromise with Israel.

Trump declared on December 6 that he recognizes al-Quds as the capital of Israel and ordered the relocation of the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to al-Quds.

Elsewhere, Hatami said that Iran welcomes expansion of cooperation with Turkey in defense area.

For his part, Canikli said that recent developments in the region have made it essential for Iran and Turkey to expand cooperation.

Canikli added no country can influence Iran-Turkey relations negatively.

He also accepted Hatami’s invitation to visit Iran.

The Turkish defense chief also said recognition of al-Quds as capital of Israel is a “big mistake” which is unacceptable to Muslims.
