“Iran’s viewpoint regarding Palestine has always been transparent, unchanged and serious in supporting the oppressed people,” Zonnour said in a meeting with a number of leaders of the Palestinian resistance movements in Damascus on Saturday.

He underlined that the issue of Palestine is the main issue of the Islamic world, and said, “Resistance of Palestinians against the occupying regime will pave the way for the collapse of the usurper regime of Israel.”

The senior lawmaker reiterated that the human catastrophes carried out in Gaza Strip indicate that Israel is concerned about its diminishing existence and its rapid destruction.

In a relevant development earlier in November, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, in a telephone conversation with Secretary-General of Palestinian Islamic Jihad Ziyad al-Nakhalah, denounced Tel Aviv’s aggression against Gaza, and praised the Islamic Jihad for standing against Israelis’ demands.

“On the issue of Palestine, the Islamic Republic observes no ceremonies with any country in the world,” Ayatollah Khamenei said earlier.

“We have always clearly declared our viewpoint on Palestine support. Even on the international era, countries that are our friends — with whom we do not see eye to eye on this issue — know that to the Islamic Republic, the Palestinian cause is absolutely serious,” the Leader asserted.
