Nearly half of more than 4,000 new coronavirus cases detected in Iran over the past 24 hours have been admitted to the hospital.
More than 353,000 coronavirus positive cases have recovered from the infectious disease in Iran, the Health Ministry said.
While the death toll from COVID-19 in Iran surpassed 23,000 on Saturday, the Health Ministry said more than 330,000 positive cases have recovered from the disease.
As of Wednesday, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Iran has passed 101,000, of whom 6,418 have lost their lives to the deadly virus.
In Iran, nearly 35,500 coronavirus patients have recovered from the disease so far.
Russia Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said in a telephone conversation with the Iranian ambassador that Russia will continue to assist Iran in the fight against coronavirus.
