The ongoing naval drills between Iran, Russia and China in the Indian Ocean once and the Sea of Oman once again proved the formation of a multi-polar world, said the president of the Talysh Diaspora of Russia, a member of Russian Council on inter-ethnic relations Ismail Shabanov.
Iran, Russia, and China began their joint naval drills in the northern waters of the Indian Ocean on Friday, the deputy commander of the Iranian Navy announced.
Iran’s foreign minister said the Indian Ocean region is facing many challenges, including piracy and human trafficking, adding that the blue economy there could be achieved only through the security and stability of the entire region and this cannot be purchased from outside.
Russia and Iran are planning to hold joint naval drills in the Indian Ocean, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Monday.
Commander of the Iranian Navy said his forces will be directing a military exercise that the Indian Ocean littoral states are going to hold in the near future.
