TEHRAN (Iran News) Answering why others did not become the Imam is neither simple nor entirely possible, because many of those who didn’t become Imam were actually preparing the ground for him to become who he was. At the same time, it’s undeniable that many others failed to recognize him, were preoccupied with their own narrow expectations of religion, or let their worldly desires shape their religious understanding.

In other words, the uniqueness of Imam Khomeini plays a central role here. The fact that the Imam looked at religion through the lens of the Prophet’s mission, while others behaved like followers of the Prophet’s companions—passive, submissive, and sometimes seeking ease—is, in my view, the heart of the matter.

Imam Khomeini saw humiliation and exile not as misfortunes, but as integral to his mission, and he prepared his chest to face them. The foundation of what made him who he was lay in his perception of duty—awakening the people. This was the very duty the Holy Prophet received under the phrase “clear delivery (balagh-e mubin)”, and Imam Khomeini did the same. The false front opposing him crumbled, as he put it, the moment the chant “Allahu Akbar” (God Is Great) rose—the phrase did its work.

One must understand that the Pahlavi regime, even with the support of the royal court, never held all the power in Iran. In fact, they were more aware of this reality than anyone else. From the moment Reza Shah was chosen by the British due to the country’s instability—to serve their interests and create security for them—up to the era when modernization clashed with traditional and native Iranian culture, and the regime responded to the people’s attachment to tradition with bayonets and massacres, any thoughtful person could see that continuing British goals in Iran meant pursuing Reza Shah’s path under the guise of modernity.

Furoughi, acting as a British agent, legitimized and implemented this plan, putting Mohammad Reza on the throne—a throne that essentially served only as a watchdog to ensure the Iranian people wouldn’t challenge foreign interests.

Look at the Tehran Conference: the leaders of the major world powers—Soviet Russia, Britain, and America—held a meeting in Tehran without even informing the Shah and made decisions about Iran’s future. Or take the Shah’s own memoirs, where he writes: “My mother asked me why I was upset, and I told her: for example, I’m the king of this country, and yet without my permission, the Americans command our air force to go help them in Vietnam and fight the Vietnamese people.” Or when, during the Dhofar Rebellion in Oman, the British ordered the Shah to deploy Iran’s helicopter forces to crush the rebels, and he complied without question.

Analyzing the political climate between 1963 and the years 1977–78 shows that the country was effectively controlled by three major powers with varying shares. These figures may help to better grasp the distribution of power: the Shah and the royal court held no more than 20% of the power. The remaining 80% was divided between post-1953 America—with its formal advisory dominance over Iran—and Britain, which, although less than the U.S., still had significant control through its anti-Soviet communication network, influence in Iran’s intelligence service, SAVAK, and Freemason networks.

In my view, of the 80% of power beyond the court, about 50% belonged to the Americans, and about 30% to the British. Minor powers like France, the Soviet Union, the Zionist regime, and the Baha’is—through their parties at the time—also held small 1–2% shares and shouldn’t be ignored.

This power estimate is what enabled the Imam to be exiled. It was this understanding of power distribution that made the Imam’s critical stance toward the Shah and the court’s subservience to foreign powers so influential in the minds of the people. It was this very lack of independence that resonated with the Shi’a Iranian spirit of Ashura and Imam Husein (AS). The Imam, knowing his people well, identified this emotional chord and struck it from his pulpit in Najaf, Iraq.

His strategy focused on the people, presenting Pure Islam—an Islam capable of shaping the country’s governance. The Provisional Government after the Revolution failed to grasp the Founder’s vision, and in their negotiations with Brzezinski in Algiers tried to befriend America, which led to the embassy takeover—seen as the den of spies. The Imam seized the moment and transformed the successful struggle against the royal court into a victorious battle against the remaining 50% of power in Iran, thereby shifting the fight from domestic tyranny to anti-colonial resistance—a struggle that intelligently continues to this day.

Without a doubt, the indirect negotiations with Trump’s team in Oman will mark another golden chapter in confronting the U.S. And Imam Khomeini’s becoming the Imam will ultimately be demonstrated through his close bond with the people and his life-giving leadership in securing true independence—culminating in the continued guidance of his worthy successor, the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei (may his shadow be extended).

Certainly, the time will come to confront the remaining 30% of power—those who have taken hold of the country’s mismanagement—and after this victory, the groundwork will be laid for the reappearance of the Divine Proof, Imam Mahdi (may God hasten his reappearance), God willing.

Iran’s president and cabinet members on Tuesday morning took part in the mausoleum of the late founder of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khomeini (RA).

The ceremony was held concurrent with the beginning of the 10-Day Fajr celebrations that mark the 44th anniversary of Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Speaking in the ceremony, Raisi stressed the need for delving deeply into the lifestyle and personality of the late Imam Khomeini.

Emphasizing that the Popular Administration considers itself committed to paying attention to the people’s wishes more than ever before, the President said, “The Popular Administration has put all its efforts into forming a society based on ethics, spirituality and justice based on the ideals of the Late Imam in different fields and in this way, it has made a pact with the Late Imam and his lofty ideals”.

Raisi appeared at the holy shrine of the Late Imam Khomeini (RA), and while renewing allegiance with the ideals of the Imam and the martyrs of the Islamic Revolution, congratulated all the people of Islamic Iran on the arrival of the Ten-Day Dawn celebration.

The President stated that it is an important point that after 44 years of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, this precious legacy of the Imam has survived in spite of all the seditions, conspiracies and plots of the enemy and hostilities, and has found more manifestations in the world, saying, “The Islamic Revolution is rooted in Imam’s sincerity and the truthfulness of this message, speech and invitation”.

Raisi called loyalty and affection of the people as another reason for the durability of the Islamic Revolution and added, “The clear reason for this affection is the numerous martyrs who rested a short distance from the holy shrine of the Late Imam and sacrificed their lives to protect this revolution and great transformation”.

The President stated that God created this revolution and this great transformation in the hearts and He Himself is the guardian of it, and stated, “Today more than ever, we need this revolution and its dimensions and the Imam and his great personality in a comprehensive way”.

Raisi considered the way to protect today’s young people as being familiar with the personality of the Imam (RA) and the dimensions of the Islamic Revolution and clarified, “All those involved in cultural affairs, speech and writing should know that one of the ways to protect the society is to the Jihad of Explanation, especially the young people of today who have not seen Imam (RA) and the war period, it is the introduction of the personality of the Imam (RA) and the dimensions of the Islamic Revolution”.

Pointing out that this should be done artistically and with today’s language and using today’s techniques, the President added, “Today more than ever, we need the society, especially the youth, to understand the conduct and behavior, the goal and ideal of the Imam (RA). The reason why the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, after the demise of Imam Khomeini, come to visit the shrine of Imam (RA) every year is because he wants to make us realise that today we should pay attention to the Imam, his character, his ways, and his conduct”.

Raisi continued by emphasizing that the ideals of the Imam (RA) in establishing a society based on rationality, justice, ethics and spirituality should be believed and followed in an executive manner, noting, “The enemies and ill-wishers are looking to prevent these goals and ideals from being realized. They do not want a new word and civilization to be formed in the name of Islam”.

The President said, “The enemy’s claim is that we are talking about a new world, but Imam (RA) presented a new perspective, plan and civilization to the human society, based on which the society can build its own world based on religion and can put religion at the center of all the needs of the society”.

Raisi pointed out that the enemy wanted to prevent the realization of Imam’s new vision by imposing an 8-year war, conspiracies and role-playing by hypocrites and seditions that are still going on, and added, “The enemy is looking to prevent a revolution, which has passed the period of its formation, consolidation and development, from bearing fruit, but in this war of wills, God helped the companions of Imam (RA) to introduce these ideals to the Islamic society and the human society through their efforts and sacrificing their pure blood”.

The President stated that today the duty of the government and all those who serve the people is to pay attention to the rights and wishes of the people and strive to implement justice in line with the wishes of the Imam, and stated, “Imam Khomeini (RA) was not like other politicians of the world, who ceremonially talk about people’s needs, but he truly believed in the people and their ruling, which is the implementation of justice”.

Emphasizing that the Popular Administration considers itself committed to paying attention to the people’s wishes more than ever before, the President said, “The Popular Administration has put all its efforts into forming a society based on ethics, spirituality and justice based on the ideals of the Late Imam in different fields and in this way, it has made a pact with the Late Imam and his lofty ideals”.

The President clarified, “Today, our society needs hope more than anything. We, who know the country’s capacities, material and spiritual reserves, and especially the capacity of the country’s efficient young manpower, know and believe that the future will be very bright”.

The President said, “Today we must seek help from the pure soul of the Imam (RA) and the pure souls of the martyrs, and in the government with effort and struggle and work day and night”.

Speaking at a memorial ceremony for the demise of Imam Khomeini, Masjedi said the resistance front is pressing ahead with its plans to strengthen itself.

“The resistance front is moving towards strengthening its capabilities in confrontation with the enemies,” he said, expressing the Islamic Republic of Iran’s pride in its defense of vulnerable Muslims in the world.

He also pointed to the depth of relations between the Iranian and Iraqi peoples, stressing that Iraq and Iran are one soul in two bodies and there is no separation between them.

“The Iranian and Iraqi peoples, in times of hardship and difficulties, have always been by each other’s side and in defense of the causes of the Islamic world, and no force can separate the two peoples from each other,” Masjedi noted, according to Al-Alam.

The Iranian ambassador referred to the role of the late Imam Khomeini in supporting the struggle of the Palestinian people and added, “The resistance of the Palestinian people today against the Zionist entity stems from and is inspired by the revolution of Imam Khomeini.”

Masjedi stressed that “Imam Khomeini’s revolution is an uprising for all the oppressed in the world,” noting that “America failed to break this uprising and that Iran is proud of its defense of all vulnerable Muslims in the world.”

He praised the role of the Popular Mobilization Forces and the two martyred commanders, Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis in combating terrorist groups.

He also praised the sacrifices and heroism of the Popular Mobilization Forces and all Iraqi armed forces in the fight against terrorism.

He pointed out that America and its followers sought a lot to eliminate the uprising of the late Imam and the last of them was the former U.S president, Donald Trump, who all went to the dustbin of history.

“The Joe Biden administration was forced to negotiate with Tehran because it realized the capabilities of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the region,” Masjedi noted.

For his part, the head of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Committee, Faleh al-Fayyad, said that Imam Khomeini’s revolution gave a new meaning to humanity in the world.

Al-Fayyad added that Iraq was and still looks with respect and appreciation for the revolution of Imam Khomeini.

He explained that the Iraqis interacted a lot with Imam Khomeini’s revolution and the line that the martyr Sayyid Muhammad Baqir al-Sadr walked, stressing that Imam Khomeini’s revolution had a great resonance in the Islamic and Western worlds. He stressed that all free people view the personality of Imam Khomeini as the teacher, pioneer and leader in reviving moral values.

A memorial ceremony has been held in various Iraqi cities in recent days in memory of the passing away of Imam Khomeini and similar ceremonies will be held in the coming days as well.

Imam Khomeini returned from Paris on February 1, 1979. It marked a turning point in the run-up for the victory of the Islamic Revolution. Imam Khomeini arrived in Iran from Paris after 14 years of exile.

Imam Khomeini’s return to the country ultimately led to the overthrow of shah Mohammad-Reza Pahlavi.

Iran has ever-since commemorated the events with 10-Day Dawn festivities, which culminate in nationwide rallies on February 11, marking the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.

TEHRAN – Iran has begun the first phase in the human trial of the homegrown COVID-19 vaccine after successfully completing the initial steps, including tests on animals, and obtaining necessary approvals.

The vaccine, produced by Iranian experts at the Headquarters for Executing the Order of Imam Khomeini, was administered to three volunteers at a ceremony in Tehran on Tuesday, the first of them being Tayyebeh Mokhber, the daughter of the organization’s CEO Mohammad Mokhber.

It is dubbed Coviran Barekat after the pharmaceutical group that developed the vaccine against the coronavirus pandemic.

Speaking on the sidelines of the ceremony to launch the vaccine trial, Health Minister Saeed Namaki said, “Today is one of the most promising days for the Iranian nation.”

“It is a day when we could fortunately make the first injection on humans following a long period of efforts on the part of the country’s leading scientists in the field of technology and biotech, who produced the COVID-19 vaccine after various stages, including animal studies and models,” he added.

“We have been producing vaccines in the country for a hundred years. Pasteur Institute of Iran was set up in 1920 and Razi Vaccine and Serum Research Institute was founded in 1924,” Namaki said on the sidelines of the unveiling ceremony of the vaccine and the first phase of the clinical trial of Iranian-made COVID-19 vaccine on 56 volunteers.

“We were the first producer of vaccines in Asia and we have sent vaccines to many countries in the world,” he added.

“Due to our record in vaccine production, we are trying to offer new vaccines with the help of the Science and Technology Vice-Presidency, knowledge-based companies, the Pasteur Institute of Iran, the Razi Vaccine and Serum Research Institute and the private sector,” the minister noted.

“We have developed various platforms for coronavirus, including the vaccine, the first human phase of which was performed today,” Namaki said, and added, “Another platform is also underway at Razi Institute, and its animal tests are underway and will soon receive a human testing license.”

“We hope that we will soon see the start of the second human trial phase of this national vaccine and then the third phase to be followed by its mass production,” he continued.

A total of 56 volunteers would receive two shots administered 14 days apart in the first human trial of the Iranian vaccine and the results will be announced 28 days later.

The vaccine is of the inactivated type, which is made of a virus that is weakened or killed by chemicals.

Mokhber said that in addition to the Coviran Barekat vaccine, the Headquarters for Executing the Order of Imam Khomeini is following the vaccine production through six other ways.

“From the next two or three weeks, we are ready to produce 1.5 million doses of the coronavirus vaccine in Iran monthly,” he said.

“The equipment required for the production of the coronavirus vaccine in Iran has entered the country and we can reach the production level of 12 million in the near future thanks to the support provided by the Health Ministry and the country’s zealous scientists,” he said.

Iranian scientists have been among the frontrunners in the international race to develop safe and effective vaccines aimed at stopping the spread of the highly-infectious respiratory disease.

Tehran said last month that eight of the vaccines it is formulating locally against COVID-19 had made their way onto the World Health Organization (WHO)’s list of 48 promising candidate vaccines.

In parallel with efforts at developing home-made vaccines, Iranian authorities have said the county has plans to pre-purchase foreign brands that pass safety and efficiency tests.

The late Imam Khomeini, may God bless him, in a narrative had read that after him someone who has a problem in his right hand would lead the Islamic Revolution, but he had never revealed this to anyone. Only when dignified Martyr Seyed Abbas al-Musawi, the then leader of Lebanon’s Hezbollah who had come to Tehran to meet the late Imam and had a visit to his house, recounted the sign and content of this narration to Imam Khomeini’s son, Seyed Ahmad Khomeini. Seyed Ahmad, in return, told Seyed Abbas that he had noticed when he talked about the wound resulted by the bomb blast at Abuzar Mosque on the right hand of Ayatollah Khamenei who was then the President, the late Imam (R) suddenly kneeled down to pray God for long time.

In fact the late Imam knew well that God Himself would pave the way for his successor to lead the Islamic Revolution after him. This happened while in 1989 and after the demise of the late Imam Khomeini and in the Experts Assembly session, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei was unwilling to accept the leadership but Almighty God in the Holy Quran has promised that it is impossible to refuse it.

Ayatollah Khamenei in the past 31 years has sailed smartly, wisely and bravely the ship of the Islamic Revolution safely whose calculation is unbelievable for enemies. The sixth Imam of Shiites Imam Sadeq (A), on his uncle Hazrat Abulfazl who was martyred in the battle of Karbala, says, “My uncle had good vision and he understood the truths and decided well.” And now Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei has the same characteristics of Hazrat Abulfazl (A) and he is very insightful and has deep understanding of issues. He is persistent in his praying and for this reason God is always with him and He does not stop guiding him. Especially regarding his cognition and identifying  enemies and taking stands against the infidels, Americans and Europeans, all notice his capability and sometimes what he sees and warns takes place two years later. And the reason he has succeeded in saving and developing this movement till this stage with such proud and glory with his strategic thoughts and eventually civilization-making is this this point.

The late Imam Khomeini told the nation, “Support Velayat-e Faqih (leadership) and your country will not hurt.” This remark of Imam Khomeini after his demise was carved in the souls of majority of Iranian people and they actually accepted the late Imam Khomeini’s recommendation whole-heartedly. This has strengthened Velayat-e Faqih and its successes.

In fact, one should say that Velayat-e Faqih has a basic characteristic whose decisions are based on instructions of Islam, the Holy Quran and hadiths and as the result, no one can infiltrate it. Even those who had tried to infiltrate it or distort it since the era of Imams have not succeeded. In Najaf, the British also once and again had tried hard to influence the late Imam Khomeini’s decisions, and his son, the late Seyed Mostafa Khomeini, had repeatedly mentioned it to Imam Khomeini but Imam proceeded the tasks of jurisprudence and leadership of the revolution smartly.

In the Holy Quran verse 25 of Repentance Chapter, God says, “Allah has already given you victory in many regions.” It means if you are a believer and try to please God, He will be with you everywhere. Today enemies of Islam and Muslims explicitly acknowledge the capability of the Supreme Leader. We have witnessed the management of the Imam (R) Movement in different eras in the leadership of the Supreme Leader with God’s help. Let’s compare the issue of the Coronavirus pandemic in Iran with other countries which are said they are the developed countries. They all have given in to the pandemic but Iran with true belief and jihadi actions and with the supervision and guidance of Velayat-e Faqih has acted totally differently. This method has not been possible and will not be possible in any system but the jurisprudence system inspired from Holy Quran and the Prophet traditions.

Regardless of good intention and benevolent measures and smart prudence, Iran has a huge protector  that the Supreme Leader has repeatedly emphasized that the country belongs to the nation and has urged the nation to help to administer the country and without any doubt, God will help the country to sail safely out of tourbillons.

Hence, Iran with the leadership of Ayatollah Khamenei will not be hit by any storm and Re-Appearance will be materialized very soon.

According To Iran News, Iranian Ministry of Foreign Ministry in a statement on Thursday urged all the Muslims and freedom-lovers of the world to pressure courtiers and international organizations to fulfill their legal humanitarian duties in order to defend the people of Palestine and end Zionists’ occupation and savage crimes and escalation.

In the statement issued on the occasion of the International Quds Day, Iranian Foreign Ministry said that the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Imam Khomeini, officially declared the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan as International Quds Day back in 1979 to materialize unity and solidarity of world nations in support of the people of Palestine and countering the threats of Zionism and World Arrogance.

All the world knows that all these years that the illegitimate, fake regime of Israel has committed all kinds of war crimes, violated human rights, and imposed discrimination with the support of big powers, especially the US, the statement added.

This year we will commemorate the day in a condition that the martyrdom of Lt. Gen. Qasem Soleimani by the US terrorist forces makes it more necessary to fight with the US-Israeli plot of the ‘Deal of the Century’ and the Zionists’ attempts to annex more Palestinian lands, the statement continued.

Palestine faces three major issues today including, the unique crimes of Israel, the resistance of the Palestinians, and silence of the international community and some Western and Islamic countries, it said.

TEHRAN – President Hassan Rouhani and members of his cabinet paid a visit to Imam Khomeini’s mausoleum on Sunday, and renewed allegiance with the late founder of the Islamic Republic and the martyrs’ ideals.

During the visit, Rouhani was also accompanied by Imam Khomeini’s grandchild Seyyed Hassan Khomeini.

Rouhani and his cabinet commemorated the great founder of the revolution, and the late Chairman of the country’s Expediency Discernment Council Ayatollah Hashemi Rafsanjani, reciting fatiha and laying a wreath on their tombs.

They also paid tribute to the martyrs of the Islamic revolution and Sacred Defence, and to the martyrs of the Hafte Tir bombing and the Iranian Prime Minister’s office bombing, both of which were carried out by the MKO terrorist group in 1981.

The office of Mohammad Javad Bahonar, Prime Minister of Iran, was bombed on 30 August 1981 by the MKO, killing Bahonar, President Mohammad Ali Rajai, and six other Iranian government officials.

The briefcase bombing came two months after the Hafte Tir bombing, which killed over seventy senior Iranian officials, including Chief Justice Mohammad Beheshti, then Iran’s second-highest official.

In his speech after the ceremony Rouhani said “Imam’s goal was that governance, within the framework of Islam, should be in the hands of people, and he was aware that justice and reform in the society, and growth and development are impossible without the presence of people.”

Referring to U.S. President’s peace plan he said “although we do not approve the policy of tension and opposition, our people know that today there is no way but resistance to the aggressors, aggressors who wrong not only our nations but also all the Muslims in the world, especially the Palestinian nation. These days we see how shameful and abhorrent to all the Muslims and to Freedom-lovers in the world is the great shame they have registered as “deal of the century.”

He also said anyone who prevents people from voting and does not allow people of different tastes to choose what they want, and anyone who discourages people from participating in the elections is certainly far from the Imam’s guideline.

Rouhani noted that Imam Khomeini had known that justice and a better society was not possible without people’s presence.

He further explained that the late founder of the Islamic Revolution has taught governmental officials that with the support of people we can sustain Islamic democracy, and fight the superpowers.

He underlined that the democracy of Imam does not end with just one scene and one election, adding, “We must always respect people’s opinion in our economic, cultural, domestic and foreign policies.”

Supreme Leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei visited the mausoleum of Imam Khomeini on Saturday morning to commemorate the late founder of Islamic Republic as well as martyrs of the 1979 Revolution.

On the occasion of the of the 41st anniversary of the victory of Islamic Revolution in 1979, Ayatollah Khamenei paid tribute to the late founder of the Islamic Republic Imam Khomeini in his mausoleum in southern Tehran.

During the visit, the Leader also paid homage to the martyrs of the Hafte Tir bombing and the Iranian Prime Minister’s office bombing, both of which were carried out by the MKO terrorist group in 1981.

Despite being contrary to the wishes of Iran’s rulers at the time, the Imam’s return, after a 15-year exile, was made possible due to the sheer abundance of popular support for the revolutionary leader among the masses.

Iran has ever-since commemorated the events with 10-Day Dawn festivities, which culminate in nationwide rallies on February 11, marking the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.
