An earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale hit Qaleh Qazi city, in Hormozgan province a few minutes ago.

Head of Hormozgan Industry, Mine and Trade Organization Khalil Ghasemi on Tue. said that $5.830 billion worth of products have been exported from provincial customs office in the first four months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21 – July 21), showing a significant 80 percent hike as compared to the last year’s corresponding period.

About $2 billion worth of products was exported from customs offices of Hormozgan province in the first two months of the current year (March 21 – May 21).

Products worth $16.5 billion were exported from the customs of the Iranian province of Hormozgan during last fiscal year (ended March 20), of which $2.7 billion were the goods produced in the southern province, a senior official said.

During the first month of the current Iranian year (March 21- April 20), Iran's Lengeh Port and its subsidiaries in the western part of Hormozgan province handled a total of 1.268 million tons of oil and non-oil products, showing a 71% increase compared to the same period last year.

The Director General of Hormozgan Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO) Allah Morad Afifipour put the goods forwarded in Shahid Rajaee Port at about five million tons in the first Iranian month of Farvardin (March 21 – April 21).

More than 7,160 tons of products worth $3.31 million were exported through the customs of Iran's Qeshm island, one of the islands of Iran’s southern Hormozgan province last Iranian year (started on March 21, 2018), Director General of the Qeshm Customs Office of Hormozgan province Hossein Saidi said.
